I just wanted to share what one of my students asked me yesterday. I teach English language in University to first years (18/19 year olds) ... anyway we were studying a video that I had on my laptop. On the cover I have a JW.ORG sticker. So during the break one girl came up and asked "Is that the Jehovah website" pointing to the sticker. I said "Yes, do you know it?" She said, no but that she had seen it on the stands in the street. I couldn't really preach as French schools are very strict about things like that, but I did say "You should check it out, it's very interesting". I found this encouraging because it shows that when we're public witnessing, we don't really see who takes notice or not, but this young girl not only remembered the logo but knew it "belonged" to Jehovah. Made me smile.

I love all of Paul s rebukes, they're the BEST! We've already talked about his "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall" ... he had such a way with words. I can't help but smile at what I imagine Elymus' face was like after Paul called him a " man full of every sort of fraud and every sort of villainy, ... son of the Devil, ... enemy of everything righteous"! You won’t lose your “notes” or “highlights” when deleting a publication and downloading it again or updating a publication. ✍🏼The only time you will lose your notes and highlights is if you delete the JW Library app entirely AND you don’t have a backup file of your notes and highlights to restore from.

Could it be that the instructions "tap the Download Media button in the top right corner of the screen." are for the new JW Library app yet to be released. Also this news seems to be released early, as there hasn't been a catalog database update for a few days, so no one will see a pending update until that happens. As commented, deleting and redownloading gets you the new one. That's all the pending update does anyway.

Just saw this on our news. It's all timely. They say in 10 years we might be facing a mass extincition event if we don't act now. Without the insects, such as bees, that are vital to keeping the eco system going, we lose all our food and so on. If that is only in a potential 10 years, how far is the end of this system? And it's not the only threat, in a few years they say our medications such as anti-biotics won't work, because the viruses are adapting to them, and thus in a few years, 10 million people a year may start dying from once treatable illnesses. Jehovah said he will have to step in or "no flesh would be saved". And now also we have the offical announcment of KOTN by the Slave. It's all happening at once.

I have deleted and reinstalled individual publications many times and I haven't lost any of my notes for the publication. You can experiment with a recent magazine and see if it works.

Sorry, It is my mistake. The brothers have not adjusted the video display in the Ezekiel book yet. Only the Good News brochure works. The error is mine. I have downloaded all of the videos just as Br. Tony shows above. I play them separately with each chapter. The "show media" does not bring them up. Since they have fixed that in the Good News brochure, maybe they will make the adjustment in the Ezekiel book soon. Disregard my insstructions above. They only work for the GN brochure. The BBC Russian website has published a report on three possible reasons why JWs cannot be removed from the list of extremist organisations. Highlights of the report: Interestingly, the Russian leader's press secretary has confirmed that Putin has already met the chief justice of the Supreme Court, Lebedev, to discuss the JW ban. Lebedev says that JWs are not being prosecuted for their beliefs, but for breaking the extremism law. He added that the Supreme Court cannot change laws, but can only enforce them. He also said that if the ECHR ruled in favour of JWs, the Russian Supreme Court would be ready to review the process. Stupid or what.. I had no clue what it was I had to Google it! .. Is this specifically a USA thing? Or am I still not getting out of hibernation often enough?

It was recently announced on jw.org there is an update to the Good News brochure. The easiest way to get the update is delete the brochure and download it again. The videos will be in the media section of each chapter.

If you stream an audio or video file (like in the Good News brochure, more than once, it cost the organization more than if you simply download and play your copy as man times as you like. Just a reminder to all to count the costs (and the donations...😉)

Sr. Linda, if you do not have the updated Good News brochure and there is no "pending update" waiting for you, just delete the brochure from your list in the JW Library app then wait a minute and reload it in the same place. The reloaded version will have the videos in the "show media" list along with the pictures in the book. It worked on all of my devices in all three operating systems. Whem you first click on the "show media" and the page opens the videos will be at the top. If you have not already downloaded them for use on that device, you will have to do so. There are only 10 videos for the 14 Lessons plus the conclusion. So to test it out use Lesson 2 (Lesson 1 does not have a viseo).

I know there is concern about the loss of bees worldwide - bees are responsible for more pollination that any other single method. Jehovah will correct this problem. However, living where I do in Florida, we have not noticed any decline in insects. They are still bothersome when you are trying to do things outside, deafening on a warm evening and need to b cleaned off the windshield.

I remember as a kid rolling over stones and watching all kinds of creatures running for cover. Today you can roll over a stone and find nothing there. Feel sad for my youngest kids who have not really seen proper garden wildlife of any kind.
