  1. I once read that if we all saw ourselves exactly as we look, we probably wouldn't recognise it's us. I have found this to be very true.

When we stare at the mirror, we see a one dimension reflection of ourselves and most times, our sight interprets things differently.

There is no perfect way of getting to know an actual description of yourself.

Just the way some mirrors and cameras make you appear lighter, darker, skinnier or fatter, taller or shorter than you actually are, so also can one individual's description of you differ from another individual.

You may be insecure about some physical feature you have. While one individual may agree about the description of that feature you are insecure about, another may describe it as worse than you see it, another may not even see what you actually insecure about.

Beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder.

It seems that this could apply to our spirituality as well as our physical appearance.  What agreat post definitly gives one much to ponder.......

When I was younger I prayed that Jehovah would let me see myself as others saw me, for the purpose of correcting the faults and flaws I was not aware of because it’s difficult to be objective about yourself.

But I never got the feeling that my prayer was answered, at least the way I expected. Maybe Jehovah’s answer is already contained in his standards laid out for all of us in His word.

But as has been already brought out, each of others may see us in entirely different ways, so there is no standard among men. But if we live up to his standards and have His approval we don’t have to concern ourselves needlessly with trying to please others because we can never please all.
