  1. I thought about this (dumb thing to say i know) but this is not only a healthy reminder for us in our own lives, but as we share with others. I know at times its easy to forget the spiritual paradise we enjoy now. As the world gets worse, the harder it must be for some to see such a bright future as anything but a fantasy. That idea of it being too good to be true, Satan certainly exploits that. Good to remember when we receive what we perceive as a negative responses in the field. It might be dissolusion of any hope, both the moment we are at their door, or for their future.
  2. I find it very interesting that Jesus used the wording "the kingdom of the heavens BELONGS to them". He could have said 'they can become a part of, or enjoy it...but "belongs". To me, it says that if you act on your spiritual needs, embracing that need and then making the truth your own, that God gifts us our place in that Kingdom. That gift, we dont earn, but when gifted is ours to own for eternity if we prove faithful. It is amazing how much information can be derived though meditating on scriptures. Or how we can read a scripture for years, someone say something from a different angle and be blown away, wondering how we didn't see something so obvious. Ok. Maybe that's just me 😂
  3. I didn't sniff as mentioned above, but adored the symmetry and color...
  4. You know, most of us have to get used to having 'passwords' to near everything electronic these days. How hard is that, to keep them organized and up to date? I had to compile mine yet again this afternoon, and whilst I am sure I typed them all out correctly, there is no way I am game to throw out the old one until I have physically checked every one of them on the individual sites. Now imagine what it would be like keeping the password sheet for thousands of years. Made out of materials not a lot better than paper, vulnerable to the elements and those who would try to destroy it no matter what it took. And yet, the password sheet - the bible that contains the passwords to a happy life, our past, our future - has survived and is current. Viewed like that, I find it pretty amazing. Easily demonstrates Jehovahs hand in its preservation.
  5. My service dog passed today........our final photo together this morning.
  6. It was interesting , I spoke with a return visit who agreed we were in the "last days." She is A very studious student of the bible. So thinking we were on the same page, I asked her what she thought the next prophecy to be fulfilled might be. Armageddon was brought up, and God stepping in. Again I was a little surprised. Then she said that A lot of generations had to endure the last days before their reward. It turned out that her understanding was each generation had their last days, then the faithful we taken to heaven. We do, we forget that the terminology we use is clear to us. Yet when someone else uses those same words, or similar, its so easy to think they understand and build or move into the next point. The experience with this lady taught me a lesson.
  7. Nope, never been guilty of this....
  8. Its interesting that Josiah's heart condition was already ripe and looking for Jehovah from a very young age. What role Manasseh played, we don't know, but it really does underscore how those formulative years 0-5, before they get into the school system are some if not the most important years we can give our children. From that point we really are competing with Satan for their attention. I've hope my three children will return to the truth before that door closes. I regret not taking those formulative years prior to school quite as seriously as I ought have. Work, providing for family, its hard to keep your head where it needs to be. We can see why there's so much encouragement to read the bible daily as a family, and a weekly family worship evening, where the family pulls together. This is a positive post, in that, I know many are like me, hope for the best, knowing Jehovah is both just and the God of mercy.
  9. There's a YouTube take off song for star trek. Without adding a link, Google "star trekking" then when you watch it see how many references to the show you see. Its hilarious!
  10. Its interesting that Rom 1:20 refers to Gods "invisible qualities are clearly seen". Paul referred to qualities rather than Jehovah's power, love, justice and wisdom specifically. Satan has limited power, justifies his own course, wisely plots his own agenda and loves himself, as do the demons. Their qualities are used in a far different way from those of Jehovah. The current world shows visibly their qualities. It takes perception and meditation on creation itself, along with biblical knowledge to equate Jehovah's qualities with His cardinal attributes, and then have that knowledge draw us toward pleasing and loving our Creator. Just my thoughts....
