  1. Just further to the above, JWL Helper 1.0.8 has just been released. If you update to this latest version, then DELETE the UserImages and UserVideos entries in your INI file i.e. :- [Folders] UserImages= UserVideos= Don't forget to restart the program after saving and closing the INI file. This latest version will re-populate those values automatically and create the necessary folders. This should resolve the issue you were having.
  2. Please can you try creating a sub-folder off the root of your C-Drive - for example "C:\Temp" and then create two sub-folders "C:\Temp\Images" and "C:\Temp\Videos". Then adjust the SETTINGS file as follows :- [Folders] ;The folder where USER IMAGES are located UserImages=C:\Temp\Images ;The folder where USER VIDEOS are located UserVideos=C:\Temp\Videos If this doesn't resolve it, please can you post on https://jwlhelper.com or use the CONTACT form on that site and then the author can assist you directly! 🙂

There are two applications called "JWL Helper" - one was written by Jonathan77 and the other is on this website :- https://jwlhelper.com If it's the former you're having a problem with, best ask Jonathan77... if it's the latter, then there's a forum and "contact form" on the JWL Helper website, so you can ask for help there.
  4. The latest version of JWL Helper also has a feature to "Play Background Music" which plays random song snippets of a user-definable duration.
  5. Thanks Jonathan - but please don't go to any trouble if you're not maintaining it - I was just interested in seeing it to be honest! We're currently using JW Library and https://jwlhelper.com - which (somewhat confusingly!) has the same name as your app!

  7. I don't know if it's helpful, but I've heard a couple of similar reports in recent months - not in our hall, but locally. The problem doesn't manifest however when using other programs, so when those congregations have gone back Soundbox, or used JWL Helper, Windows Media Player or VLC Player, then it works fine. This tends to indicate it's less likely to be a hardware problem, and more likely an underlying issue with the way JW Library uses the UWP (Universal Windows Platform) to cast the videos, which (for whatever reason!) can cause stuttering on some PCs. The app is improving with every update, so hopefully a future update might resolve it. Something else to try in the meantime is to check your Anti-Virus software (even if it's just Windows Defender) and exclude the folder where the video media files are stored. By default this is :- %userprofile%\Videos\JWLibrary ... or you can run JW Library, click SETTINGS (bottom left) and see which folder "Download videos to" is set to.
