  1. You can go to the search engine of your choice and usually type "site:jw.org paradise" and once you get the results click on the images section to filter just the images Duck Duck Go https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site%3Ajw.org+paradise&iax=images&ia=images Google https://www.google.com/search?q=site:jw.org+paradise&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&biw=2048&bih=1016&dpr=2 DuckDuckGo and Google honor the "site:" filter The nice thing about doing this type of search is that you can verify that the image is in fact coming from our publications by looking at the hosting domain. Caution: Make sure there is no spaces or misspelling in site:jw.org or you might get images not coming from JW.org
  2. If you want more info, Apple apparently has had this ability since 2008 as reported by forensic analysis on an iPhone 3G: https://www.macrumors.com/2008/08/06/apples-ability-to-deactivate-malicious-app-store-apps/ Not sure if this is exactly what has happened in Russia but if Apple wants to blacklist an App and "remote uninstall" it that way, they can do it.
  3. So most likely it would be the App Store (iPhone's / iPads) controlled by Apple and the Play Store controlled by Google (Android phones) who will remove the apps by request of the government. When these stores remove the app from their listing, the store software in all our phones will remote uninstall. Here is an example: https://www.pagalparrot.com/chinese-government-removed-4500-gaming-apps-from-app-store/ of course as someone mentioned there are ways around this.
  4. Neil, This whole time I thought you manually added all that ** ** and refs when quoting from our publications when posting here. I didn’t know you where getting them from the WT Library CD, I was like “how’s he making them look all neat ... “ now that we have this new feature on wol , I’m going to be using it ! 6. It’s Brazilian Portuguese not European Portuguese, there is a difference (I had to look it up I wasn’t sure myself ): https://www.babbel.com/en/magazine/difference-between-brazilian-and-european-portuguese Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There are some free courses on: Khan Academy (Computer Courses) CodeAcademy is also another which offers some but most are paid courses. Javascript (JS) is a great first language to get into, once you know this one, you can pretty much pick up most other languages out there. Also, JS allows you to code for front-end , back-end , mobile and IoT devices. As you stated you are a verbal learner, then YouTube would probably be best but as you mentioned, being tech savvy person does not mean you are a good teacher. I would say you are going to have to do a lot of reading and testing and trial and error on your own, even if you get a great personal tutor to teach you, things get outdated quick in the dev world and some frameworks/libraries which you will be using will be no longer used. So, you are going to have to learn, learn learn and test test test. Again, if you know "Vanilla JS" which is Javascript without any framework/library, things become a lot easier to pick up when you test try different frameworks (AngularJS, Vue.js, etc) Finding work... Currently, I work 2 days out of the week and I am full time pioneering, I can tell you that most of my work comes from referrals and Jehovah lining things around , I also occasionally use WeWorkRemotely, StackOverFlow, CraigsList. A lot of leads and people who send referrals have come from those sites after establishing good secular work relationships. WeWorkRemotely also has other jobs not related to programming and its all 100% remote. I have found I cannot take most of the jobs because they require full-time commitment (traps!) and that conflicts with my pioneering. I hope you do find something that works with your goals 👍
  8. During the great tribulation, a small group of Witnesses courageously meets in a forest to hold a congregation meeting. No basements here, time to revise that Go bag I guess. This image description had me thinking about the elderly and infirm, we don't know how all this will play out in the moment and that we need to rely on Jehovah.
  9. Nice, more Insight into the possible way the attack will be carried out: 4. (a) What might the nations say to justify their attack on false religion? (b) What will the former members of those religions likely do? 4 We do not know what reasons the nations might give to justify their attack on Babylon the Great. They might say that the world’s religions are an obstacle to peace and that they constantly meddle in politics. Or they might say that those religious organizations have accumulated too much wealth and property. (Rev. 18:3, 7) It seems reasonable that this attack will not mean that all the members of those religions will be destroyed. Rather, it seems that the nations will get rid of the religious organizations. Once those organizations are gone, the former members will realize that their religious leaders failed them and will likely try to distance themselves from those religions.
  10. Speculation: Perhaps the study question format is a new way for the FDS to help us remember content in our minds and not rely on printed or digital content. So when our spiritual food is taken away we can already be very efficient in recalling vital information. Kinda puts more emphasis on not missing any meetings going forward. 11. So the study questions are out. But not the articles themselves , never seen this format before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
