Andross's Achievements

  1. We love people and we want to share this message with them that they may be saved and live on. Even if it means they try to fight against the word of god and try to stop our work.
  2. Jealously can creep in on the most faithful of Christians. Some can be jealous for not being selected for certain privileges in the congregation. Negative feelings are something we constantly have to struggle against in our pursuit of being true Christians.
  3. Nowadays you have all these so-called child professionals that keep changing their mind on whether or not a child should be disciplined. But God's word on the matter never changes.
  4. I know of a lot of other Christian religions that try to get people baptized as soon as possible with the excuse "once saved, always saved." We are not like that. We know that baptizism is part of the journey of being a true Christian, not its final goal.
  5. There is no such thing as "nothing" in the universe. At least nothing that we have yet obversered. Time and space are the same thing that makes up the universe. Space is a constant. Matter and energy interact with space. Quantum physics refers to things that are to tiny to be affected by the normal physics that affected us on a daily bases. The string theory is an attempt to try to connect quantum physics to our normal physics.
  6. I must have contributed hundreds of hours during the Service Year. If you go over 100 it's plural.
  7. The important thing to consider is that people of that time read the scriptures, listened to God's word and eagerly awaited for the signs to be fulfilled. We too should be as mindful as we await the day of Jehovah.
  8. Sometimes the world does tempt us with things which might not seem that bad at first glance. As if we are missing out on something fun or important. But the council God gives us is for our own benifit and if we listen and heed instruction if will end good for us.
  9. Sometimes it can be hard to speak with modesty. We have to train ourselves to do so. Everyone wants to feel special around their freinds and family. It is something I have to contend with daily.
  10. To help stay true to this advice, I tend to avoid drinking when I'm alone and only in moderation when socializing with the friends.
  11. This is encouraging because some times I get mad at people and want to have the last word when I need to learn self control and to let things go.
