Old age can be challenging. Last friday, Sid and i were out scoping for rocks. Flat rocks for a walk way. 
I spot, he does the rest of the chore. Its something we enjoy.
I was on flat groud. I did not pay enough attention to where to put my feet. (I had my walking stick, um, in the truck) The ground was flat, with a big rock here and there. Somehowʼ i lost my balance, started to fall, but blocked myself. (Big mistake.) Friends, I sprained my hip! As in, “sometimes a sprain is worse then a break”. Sid found he could not carry me. He moved the truck as close to me as possible. And, eventually, i was able to get in the truck. 
But, i had to sit on the running board, (yes, we have one on the truck. It pops out when the door is opened. I sat on the running board, trying to catch my breathe, and was literally going in and out of consciousness, from the pain, as i sat there. 
Got me in the truck, and, off to the hospital, some 2 and 1/2 hour trip. 
I had mobility, but, very painful mobility. 
I seriously prayed my hip was not broken. Really bad news for an 80 year old youngster! 
An X-Ray and a CT scan later, nothing broken. My right leg was useless. We have crutches and a walker here at home. After falling a couple of times, i learned how to walk, sort of. 
I am healing. Dr. says it will be a month, and, i will be my old,(old, old) self. I can walk, sort of dragging my leg along. I can get up and down the stairs. I’m still in pain, but I feel it’s manageable. (They gave me all sorts if medications. For pain, muscle spams, and inflammation, etc)
Iʼve Zoomed a couple of meetings. And, plan to go Sunday. The spasms are gone. Now it hurts, for the most time, just when i move. 
Sid has been steller in taking care of meʼ, and doing everything in the house. I am being very good taken care of. And, i thank Jehovah for that fact. 
I am constantly challenging myself. I move around, and do what i can. One gets really weak, fast, not moving around. 
Watch out for falling, friends. I thought i was. Learned a lesson. I did.

We almost got scammed via text today, look out for this. I noticed something was wrong when the website adress the text redirected me to for redelivery looked slightly different. So I double checked.   The offical Royal Mail is royalmail.com, but the fake adress in the text was royalmailgb.org.   The websites will look identical, but one is fake and will take your money pretending to be a delivery charge.

Finally ripped off the mental bandaid and cancelled the lease of my Swedish apartment as I couldn’t find anyone to sublet it for a third year. Sad. I get an emotional attachment to weirdest things. But the reality is that I won’t be going back to Europe any time soon 😢 Now I need to UPS my keys over, and pay rent during the exorbitant 3-month cancellation period (urgh).

Last day of 2020 came with the most beautiful cold clear sky and an amazing full moon - reminding us ,with all of the inconclusive solutions of the worldly leaders- Jehovah is there , no confusion for him he knows exactly the solution and where we are going !!

Good evening Everyone!   I just wanted to share  what has been going on since April due to the Pandemic.    As some of you already know, I work at a school.  Well, my Superintendent has been connecting and listening in on our congregation zoom meetings since April and has not missed but three since she began (one was due to a funeral).  She has even listened in when we have abbreviated Watchtower lessons due to our Circuit Assembly last week.    She and her 89 year old mom listen in and said they love listening in and learning.  They are Catholic.   I send her via text the public talk title each week and the Watchtower lesson for that week.   About a week ago after she missed a couple of Sundays she said to me, "Please don't forget us!"   I told her she can rest assured that we would not.   Anyways it is encouraging to see ones of a different faith connecting to our Zoom meetings.

Could not sleep last night. I plugged in my iPad, got the earphones out, and had a bit of a marathon. Our media on JW.org
I stumbled across something wonderful, (well, my iPad did) it was the 2016 regional convention. I got to hear, “Expect the unexpected”, and the closing comments of that convention. A real eye opener! I could almost see the end happen this week! 
The reasons Jehovah brought the flood. Violence and unclean sex. I remember that. And that situation has, well, I think doubled down on itself.
Exciting times.

Sisters and Brothers thanks for all the support in my threads I made, and for all the PMs I got of people reaching out and saying hello. Even though its likely I never see any of you in real life, I appreciate their being a legit JW website. And to be able to come here and read the discussions being had.

I cannot believe how some people can show so little regard for their neighbors.   
 
My insurance company sent me a Covid packet last summer
with a big blue sign that says "This House Practices Social Distancing".
The sign is prominently displayed on the window of our front porch entrance.
 
Well, one of our hay customers just ignored that sign and walked right into our kitchen--UNinvited
and UNmasked.  
 
(She, and many of her church members, got Covid last Winter, by not practicing social distancing,
and by continuing to attend their church services, in spite of warnings.)
 
She displayed no respect for our home, or any concern for our lives.  
 
In other words, she showed no 'love for her neighbor'.  

I needed a bit of a break, because I found a lot of the topics on some subjects to be really emotional, I think because David and I have been struggling a lot with getting married, and over the years, I've been struggling a lot in my relationship with my mom.
Long story short, I have the visa now, so now it's just a case of navigating through travel in a Covid world.
I'm sure David will be a big help though

In planning for this, baptized publishers who are practicing lawyers and can make themselves available to assist with legal advice are invited to fill out the online volunteer application form A-19. They will either serve occasionally as Bethel consultants or on a weekly basis for a minimum of one day each week as Bethel remote volunteers."
I was happy to apply.

I have a question:  in my personal study today I’m on the topic of Moses.  Why didn’t the daughter of pharaoh give Moses an Egyptian name?  I remember someone telling me this answer or I read it in an article, but so far I can’t find it.  Any help I’d appreciate it.  Thanks!

I'm going to start journaling all the positive things about myself, my life and things in the future I can look forward to.

I think making this a practice will contribute to a healthy and positive mindset, and perhaps will shift my brain patterns into actively "looking for the good" and not the bad or "negative what ifs". Helping to combat anxiety and obsessions in general.

Thought I missed the meeting tonight. Turns out it was cancelled due to the storm coming. It's gonna be a big one looks like.

Right in the middle of us working on our Visa too. Hopefully the internet holds up.

So I’ve been doing my personal bible study, and decided to start back from the basics.  From Adam and Eve in Genesis to Revelation.  On this journey, one day I did the family tree of Noah and his sons’ descendants because I was getting confused just by reading the names in the scriptures.  I needed something visual to look at.  It was so much fun that I downloaded a Family Tree app (since I don’t think I have enough paper 😂) and began making a Biblical family tree chart starting with Adam and Eve.  Seeing all the names, doing the research on some of the little fun facts of lesser known descendants, and connecting the dots of how things came to be has been fascinating!  I look forward to every night to my personal bible study to add to my Biblical Family Tree and understanding more of the importance of each person.  I’d also love to know what little projects you friends have done for your personal bible study!
