Gertrude is home.
I have been too exhausted to post. We brought Gertrude home to Leslie's two days ago. They had for wait for her blood pressure to stabilize between 140 over__ to less than 180 over -- anything lower than 135 and she would lose her speech. Anthing over and they were worrie about a stroke. Some thing to do with blood vessels shrinking in size due to brain injury. Her blood press should return to normal in a couple of weeks and she will be able to return to Newport.
Today is our 59th wedding aniversary. Leslie and I are preparing a low key party for this evening.
Four difficult months: Shingles causing loss of leg control, a minor fall, bleeding on the brain, two brain surgeries, two ambulance trips, 15 days in ICU. We hope it is over.
