  1. Oh my! My last living uncle passed away. He wasn't in the truth, but a real treasure. He had such a kind and gentle disposition, a lovely manner to imitate. Despite the fact he was a former pastor, he was completely unbiased and always respectful of my beliefs, and on a number of occasions even complimentary! One of a kind for someone in the world!

MIxed feelings on reading this; sorry for your loss - comforted by the hope of the resurrection, although this moment the emotions may be too raw to think this far. I need to keep studying and meditating on the upcoming Watchtower.

So sorry to hear of this.  I'm one of those people that was uprooted as a child from where I was born and all my relatives lived, so I have no idea who my relatives are or where they are or if any are alive.  I've often thought that in the resurrection, if they post lists of people being resurrected, I wouldn't know if they were my relative or not - hopefully someone will let me know!

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
I was visited during a tract campaign in 1974. I spent the next 11 years studying on and off, with three different brothers, before finally accepting the fact that this is where I belong.

  • My favorite quotes
If you can count the number of times you have prayed today, then you haven't prayed enough.

The reasons some brothers and sisters give for not being at the meetings are the very reasons they should be there.

We need to be at the meetings to "incite to love and fine works."—Hebrews 10:24. But how can you incite if you're not in sight?

When one flees temptation, one should never leave a forwarding address.

Life can be understood by looking back but it must be lived by looking ahead.

If Satan keeps reminding you of your past, just remind him of his future.

Man says, "Show me and I will trust you." Jehovah says, "TRUST ME AND I WILL SHOW YOU."

Let the Mind of your Master be the Master of your mind.
