  1. Jw access now has a new skill. Play sing out joyfully or sing to Jehovah. When you ask for sing out joyfully it gives you a choice meetings, instrumental or chorus. Hope that helps.
  2. I haven't tried the orchestra songs just kids and original. But now I will have to try.
  3. I already opted out of that It’s our Wi-Fi is protected.
  4. I know. It’s definitely not a need but it’s cool. My parents are elderly and my mom has dementia. It’s going to be good for them if they need to call some quick. It’s one of those stupid things you didn’t live without now you wonder how you did. But I used to say that about the cell phone in service. 🤪
  5. I have been an iPad, roku and jw app user since the beginning. It’s my serious love (maybe even more than my family 😘) I love the technology that we have. The echo is different. It will read things automatically or plays music right away. The speakers are awesome. Plus as someone else said it does take lazy to a whole new level and it is awesome to have wet hands in the sink and just yell and it will read the Bible reading for the week. So cool. Wasn’t original purpose for it but it is so amazing!! 😀😀😀😀😀
  6. We decided to get an Alexa spot because other family members have them and it’s amazing to quickly drop in on them. Especially our elderly parents However this thing is super cool. She has “skills” that read the Bible reading and daily text. Plays our music. It’s amazing. Definitely not encouraging people to spend money but if you are considering getting an Alexa or already have one consider looking at all the things she can do. Maybe I am late to the party but I all so excited.
  7. The New system school can act as an umbrella school for homeschoolers. It will help parents fulfill state requirements. Parents select their own curriculum
  8. I sent you a message. I feel like you need to connect with other homeschoolers in Texas that will be familiar with the requirements. Or even check out the homeschool defense league.
  9. Remember he is 11 and did this with out a his parents help! His parents monitor his accounts very closely and delete anything inappropriate on any of his videos.
  10. Please watch this video by our young brother. He is homeschooled and makes videos for YouTube. He made this without prodding from his parents.
  11. I am a pharmacy technician, in patient at a hospital. I really enjoy it. We work under the pharmacists and dispense medications and make IVs. It's interesting work. Here in the Pennsylvania it isn't regulated by the state yet, but my hospital requires I am certified and keep that current. Where I live I make significantly more money than retail technicians, personally I couldn't deal with the people anyway. I hear horror stories from the pharmacists I work with that came from retail. Also, a nice thing for me is I only work 2 days a week and the hospital gives me health insurance for my family. For us that is so important because my husband is self employed and we would have to purchase it from the government. I know we live in different parts of the world, so I can't speak specifically. However, I am sure the job process is similar.
  12. FYI. I purchased a 30th anniversary DVD of Schoolhouse rock on ebay. It has all the songs on it and I paid less than 11.00 including shipping. I figured even if we watched it once for nostalgic reasons it will be fun. They also have the multiplication DVD but that is more and I am not even close to worrying about that yet.
  13. She was in the 4th grade when her mother put her in the extra math program, that was the point of my comment. She is currently in the 5th grade and in a private school that has a different curriculum (non common core) than public schools in my state. As commented before memorization of the times tables is an option.
  14. Noteworthy. A woman I work with sent her 10 year old to Kuman for math help because times tables aren't even included in the public school cirriculum in the state of Pennsylvania.
  15. Sarah! Have a glass of wine and take a deep breath. Come out to the light and we will talk you off the ledge. (Wink wink)
