Thanks friends. I don't know why I posted it. I guess it was for reaffirmation that I am worth something. I shouldn't have, because Jesus died for me, so I have to be worth a lot.

My mom wrote me a long poem so I wrote her a short one back: Momma “Momma”, I cry. “I got hurt.” She brushes a tear from my eye while breathing a silent sigh. She kisses me tenderly and says “It will be all right”. She was right, it didn’t hurt all night. “Momma”, I cry. “I’m so sick.” She feels my forehead and says “Oh my!” She strokes my hair and whispers, “It will be all right.” She was right, I got well after a gallant fight. “Momma”, I cry. “I’m so scared.” She comforts me and asks, “What caused you such a fright?” I snuggle up and said, “it was a bad, bad dream.” “There, there”, she whispers. “Dream of Paradise. From boy to a man, I grew, and all the while I never knew the end of such love so true. Now she lives so far away, and I often say, “Momma, are you okay?” She’s grown older as so have I. Both a bit wiser, both a bit kinder, both a little lonelier, both a little weaker. She says, “It will be okay, trust in Jehovah and keep His way.” “Thank you, Momma”, I say and then I long to see her another day. Everyday the news is worse and worse. As sad as we are, think of how Jehovah feels as He sees His creation suffer through these terrible ordeals. What patience He shows, but we know the end must be near. May Jehovah, the God of all comfort, protect us and save us. Please dear God.

That's the problem with trying to develop patience, it takes patience.

Thanks brother, but I can't get that far. If I click on epub when given the choice on the web site, the window changes and only gives me pdf as a choice

I have ezpdf and moon reader on a Samsung note but am unable to download epub. If I select epub the screen shows a box too quickly to read and a new box appears with only pdf as choice. What am I doing wrong?

Had my party. My apartment only has room for 8-10 people. I invited 7 and 6 came. We had lasagna, garlic toast, crab salad, and an assortment of desserts. We told experiences, especially about the funniest things that have happened. Mine was about when I was 11 and out in the door to door work by myself. I knocked on the door, which was open, just the screen door and a dark room. A voice called out "hello!" I answered "hello!" The old lady said "come in!" I explained I wasn't allowed to go in. She said "come in". I explained again. She said "Whatcha doin?" I gave my presentation. She said "come in!" I explained again, to no avail, she answered, "she said "hello!" I talked to that stupid bird for 20 minutes before the lady of the house came in from the backyard, laughing much to my chagrin. The only single sister there laughed. (fist pump)

Invite someone over...new ones....unbelieving mates... older faithful couple....family with 3 well behaved kids. Here's a great ice breaker offered by the faithful slave last night. Ask each in a row, "how did you become a Witness?". Great experiences with lotsa laffs.

This may not be the right place...maybe forum games would be better. I plan to have a small get together and would like some ideas for an entertaining and theocratic party game. I searched but to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

As bad as the police can be, the criminals are worse.Romans 13:6 says the police are 'God's public servants' and verse 7 says 'to render honor' to them. We tread on slippery ground if we continually 'take a stand against them'. (Ro. 13:2) We stand to injure the conscience of our brothers (1 Cor. 8:7-12). As mentioned above, we should expect things to get worse since we are deep into the critical times hard to deal with. Why continually throw fuel to a flame, that may eventually burn us all, for no other purpose than to sharpen an axe we wish to grind? This site is primarily to build up, not to tear down. If we must continually be presented with one sided accounts of police abuse, why not start a thread just for that purpose?
