  1. http://scaleofuniverse.com/ i found this comparison amazing ... have a look (really gives us a small scale as to how magnificent Jehovah has made everything - even what we had no idea was there)
  2. In South Africa they released it as "Zootropolis" and I heard "Zoomania" in Germany and "Crazy Animal City" in China. My hubby was reading about it and said they changed several animals to suit the country / part of the world it was being shown it. For example the moose was only used in the american & canadian version It was changed to tanuki (japanese racoon dog) in japan, koala in australia & new zealand, panda bear in china, jaguar in brazil, welsh corgi in uk (not released yet) and some were voiced over by local reporters or celebs. Movie was excellent. Especially the sloths!
  3. i think its stormy ... not just storm, see how the "y" is also hidden?
  4. had to share these pictures - got them via email today (but didnt post all) this python got caught in an electric fence. shame. see the whole story here: http://web.archive.org/web/20041210225449/http:/www.bushveld.co.za/pictures-python.htm
  5. Hi' date=' jane! If you give us an idea what kudu is - someone may try [/quote'] A Kudu sorta looks like an antelope. Not that hard to see at all. wow, jerry and lynn both have great eyesight! i thought it was cleverly hidden when i took the picture. here's what a kudu looks like. hope this helps.
  6. matopos national park dec2010 (took picture with my phone) gives you an idea of how vast and huge the boulders are there some artifacts they make in the village out of wood. ever been to victoria falls - the picture does not do the actual falls any justice recently we went to hwange national park and saw loads of elephant, a pride of lions and a few other animals. can you spot the kudu in this picture? - it's not easy.
  7. interestingly the documentary was realeased in theatres on 28th September in New York (34 West 13th Street, New York, New York 1001, p: 212-255-2243) and Los Angeles (Laemmle's Playhouse 7, 673 East Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, 91101) Asia Geographic have promised the release to download / DVD soon. the write-up about the documentary in a film magazine can be read here: http://www.alllightsfilmmagazine.com/filmosphere/movies-more/get-to-know-it/296-first-do-no-harm-presenting-a-factor-this-year the trailer can be seen here: http://www.asiageographic.com/primum/trailers.htm

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
my half brother has been in the truth his whole life. when his daughter came to spend some time with me, she always spoke about "the truth".. her mom would also go on and on about how they were in this "truth".

    i was frustrated.
i felt so sorry for them and thought i was put in this situation to "save them"

    boy was i wrong!!

from the first meeting i attended, i was getting answers. i wasnt told i must not question - just accept what you are told.

when i approached the head of the islamic society here, he told me he would send someone to see me.

    he didnt.

at this time i was going through some trying times. my husband had left to go live with another woman, and was refusing to support us (my daughter (5yrs) my son (18months) and myself.
unfortunately, my son had a serious accident and landed up in hospital with major burns over 10% of his body.
    he was eighteen months old.
the islamic society didnt bother sending anyone to make sure i was okay and didnt need assistance as a single mother.

shortly after this i attended my first meeting. it was a thursday night - theocratic school and service meeting.
to this day, the thursday meeting is my favourite.

when i finally got tired of asking for a quran in english, asking why we were never taught jesus was in the quran i decided to disassociate myself from the islamic society. immediately, they sent three women (a little too late, but i had made up my mind.

my husband is an MS and both my son (11yrs) and my daughter (16yrs) are unbaptised publishers and i have been in the truth for 8years now.

my father-in-law is the presiding officer in our congregation and a dinosaur in the Truth.
