  1. After reading your positive experiences with Temu, I ordered a few white paint pallets for my grandchildren to mix red, yellow, and blue into other colors. They have 18 wells in a rectangular shape. I scoured Amazon, Etsy, and others places for them and didn’t find any like that. Yay, thanks! Best of all you can use PayPal
  2. Michelle I forgot all about Ashwagandha. Thanks for the reminder I’ll have to get some again. I can’t remember what time of day to take it either, sorry….
  3. Good morning Miss Bea, I’m gathering strength to go out in the garage to box up my recently deceased husband’s hazardous waste materials to drop them off Saturday. There’s no rhyme or reason to the stuff that’s out there. I’d sure like to get the car in the garage someday before Armageddon! Thanks for asking…..and PS, no condolences are necessary. He was a terror….. How is your day going so far?
  4. Rats. I just missed an opportunity to ask the sister who just called what is ‘handsome cat’ in French. She called searching for French speakers because of our last name. I’m glad I asked her if she is a sister at least.
  5. Huh. I just googled chez. I thought it meant cat all these years. It doesn’t! 😂
  6. I think Beau Chez is a good name for a male cat. It’s fun to say 😊
  7. Yesterday I made my first hydrosol. It is an easy method of using what you have at home to distill herbs and flowers. The water from this process can be used in a variety of ways, and it’s a thrill to have a useful fragrant water in a couple of hours. There are lots of YouTube videos showing how to do it without a still. Anyway, this kept me engaged and entertained for awhile....
  8. Ghastly. It’s 111 currently in So. Ca. I’m seriously worried for my daughters’ chickens.
  9. One of our brothers back in the day had the first name of Judge however. He was given that name when he was born because his father said he looks as sober as a judge! I recall reading somewhere that he secured the release of several brothers being detained by briskly walking in and announcing himself as Judge (Along with his last name). He didn't lie! 😃
  10. This sounds unlikely to me and yet I have a memory at my very first Circuit Assembly in Norco, Ca of the brother announcing from now on, Assemblies were going to begin with a prayer. This was in 1972. Yes? No?
  11. I'm taking a break from discarding books and CD's. I really don't want to dump them in the recycling bin but I'm wondering if the thrift shops will ever reopen. I'm so done living with superfluous possessions. It's 5:42 pm in Calif. and still very hot.
  12. One year ago today there was a big earthquake in Southern Calif. It happened during the loud annual parade going past our house. This year no parade but there were some motorcycles and flag decorated cars doing their own thing taking the same route. Must be kinda anticlimactic for them once they did a loop around. Especially since there were so few people outside. Makes me wonder if last year was the last parade. Hope so.
  13. Oh no! Is there a sturdier rec room in your park?
  14. Thanks to Neil, I had my first ukelele lesson last night. The teacher starts from the very beginning unlike the youtube videos I've found online! If I recall correctly they are accepting 500,000 new students. Just so happened I had a spare uke in my closet!
  15. Can someone please explain how the corona virus is spreading so quickly? It's even in Iceland. Did all these countries have persons who traveled to or from China contracted it then brought it back to where they live?
  16. Jenny, I'm not sure but I think that was a quote from N. Tesla. Someone here will know for sure. Maybe searching for Tesla will turn up something?
  17. I take monolaurin every day, three times a day. Had I known about it in November, I possibly could have avoided the hospital. I had cellulitis. Thanks for the caution about sugar. I didn't know that.
  18. Hi, This year I'm going to try starting my seeds in gallon size milk cartons. They make a mini greenhouse. There's online videos that show this technique. Then I'm going to plant those that survive into compost-in-place containers that Robbie of robbieandgarygardeningeasy.com explains so thoroughly As long as I have this husband of mine, I'll not be able to improve our soil as Cheryl has...
  19. 60 Minutes or a similar tv show had a segment about hearing aids being drastically reduced in price in one year. That was in August. I'm holding out until then.
  20. After reading the Truth Book it was the first day of the rest of my life. When I realized I had found the Truth my heart was so happy it actually hurt in my chest. I had to calm myself down. Had I been capable of doing cartwheels I would have. I was on vacation from work when I read it and when I returned to work, someone told me 'you left one person and came back another!' Thank you Jehovah for saving me
  21. I forgot to mention that I soak the phone books minus their covers in water until they're saturated and bury them next to my comfrey. In California comfrey can never get enough water it seems.
