  1. How can I download this beautiful video?
  2. Since the last update in July (?) I have had problems underlining in my JW Library app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 tablet. The tablet has a pen (called the "S pen"). When I use the pen to highlight, I hold my pen on a word and drag it sideways as usual. However, instead of highlighting the sentence, it will turn the page. When I use my finger, it will highlight normally. But I love using my pen. I tried resetting the device and resetting the pen. The pen seems to work normally with other apps. Any suggestions?
  3. I'm (still) working on my go bag/disaster kit. I need food ideas to put in the bag. Canned tuna? MRE's? Do you avoid food that needs to be cooked?
  4. Hmm, interesting. Maybe it's not working because of the latest update. Is there a way to roll back to a previous version of JWL?
  5. I'm not sure. The app was working fine. She was using it outside in the sun and it got very hot so she tried putting it in the freezer to cool it down LOL. Anyway, I was thinking if there was a way to save the app data. That way she could uninstall the app and keep all her study notes. I was looking in the Google Play Store for apps that might do this. There's one called "Backup and Restore." Maybe something like that would work?
  6. My friend's JW Library will not load on her android tablet. It just shows the JW Library logo and then hangs forever. She has a Galaxy Tab 2. This is what we tried: -restarting the tablet -checking for app updates -checking for OS updates -clear the cache -force stop the app -letting the app try to load for 30 mins -turn off wifi and data The only thing left to do is to uninstall the app and start fresh, however she would lose all her study notes and there's no way to back it up since she can't get into the app. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. I thought Friday morning part was to be made available on June 28 (today), but I can't find it. Please help.
  8. Thank you, this works wonderfully! I also found some beautiful pictures by searching "resurrection". Interesting. How does this site work exactly? Yes, I think there is a cutoff year, where pictures in a publication not included online. Maybe anything before 2000? Thank you Very nice.
  9. I'm doing a personal project where I would like to find and collect all the pictures of paradise that are on our websites. These pictures are beautiful and pick me up when I'm feeling down. I can go through each of the thousand articles online, but that would take a really long time. Is there a simpler way to search for all pictures of paradise in our publications that are on jw.org or wol? You probably don't need examples of paradise pictures, but here are a couple anyway: The picture at the top of this article: https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/g200606/peace-on-earth-at-last/ The picture in this meeting workbook: https://www.jw.org/en/library/jw-meeting-workbook/december-2016-mwb/meeting-schedule-dec19-25/knowledge-of-jehovah-will-fill-earth/#?insight[search_id]=897de733-be3c-4527-9ff5-b44af58e4ffb&insight[search_result_index]=28
  10. Thanks it worked! Wasn't sure how to "import" the file into JW Library, but I just opened the file and it imported itself. I wonder why I had to update this manually? Will I have to do this for every book?
  11. We're with Comcast also. I finally found the Settings where you can change the resolution. You have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the videos. I set the resolution to 1080. Seems to be working ok, but the other day it was blurry.
  12. No, there is no option to change the resolution anywhere. We have a high-speed cable modem. According to speed tests from 2 different sites, our download speed is between 48 and 55 MBps. Anyway, the video is playing correctly today. The resolution is much better! Maybe the problem corrected itself?
  13. We have a "Haier - Roku" smart tv and I just downloaded the JW Broadcasting App. When I try to play a video, the picture quality is terrible. There doesn't seem to be an option anywhere in the app or the tv to select a better resolution. I don't think the problem is the tv because the other apps such as Netflix and Youtube work fine. It seems to be a problem with the JW Broadcasting App. Any ideas?
  14. Hey I think I may have found a solution!! In the Google Play Store, if you go to the JW Library App and check more information, there's a bit about how the highlighting problems is a known issue. I attached a screenshot. It seems the problem is being caused by a Chrome update. I uninstalled my Chrome update and it seems to have fixed the problem! To remove Chrome updates, this is what I did (although steps may differ depending on your device): -Go to Settings (swipe down from the top of your screen and tap the Gear icon) -In the list on the left, tap on "Apps" -In the list on the right, find and tap "Chrome" -On the top-right there should be "Three Dots" icon. Tap on that and tap "Uninstall updates" -Tap "Yes" or "Ok" and Chrome will uninstall its updates. I suppose you can just uninstall Chrome altogether to avoid this. But I use Chrome a lot so I did it this way. Note that your device may still automatically update Chrome, thus causing the JW Library problems to reoccur. If you want to disable Chrome from automatically updating itself: -Go to Google Play Store -In the Search box, search for "Google Chrome" -Tap on the multicolored wheel icon that represents the Chrome program (it should be the first result in the search) -On the top-right there should be a "Three Dots" icon. Tap on that and uncheck the box called "Enable auto update" Now Chrome will not update anymore. Of course, once the brothers fix the problem with JW Library, you may want to re-enable Chrome's auto-updates. In which case, just follow the same steps above and enable the check box "Enable auto update". Hope this helps!
  15. I have JW Library on my iPhone which works just fine. But I'm so used to studying on a nice big tablet that it feels weird to study and take notes on my tiny little phone! It's an idea though. I'm trying to see maybe I can use Microsoft Word to study and do underlining and note-taking on my tablet.
  16. I have the exact same problem. I can't study anymore 😭 I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (Model SM-T350)
  17. All publications from 1970 onward are now available in Watchtower Online Library!!! This includes the Index, various books from 1970 onward (including Daniel's Prophecy and Revelation Climax thank you very much), all Awake issues from 1970 onward, and all Watchtowers from 1950 onward!!! Also, when reading the Bible online, these publications can be seen the Publication Index in the margin of a scripture. (Example Mark 3:29) I've been waiting for this for so long! I don't need to rely on my Watchtower Library on PC so much anymore. YAHOO!!
  18. There's even a lengthy Wikipedia article about this great debate. Here are some complex scientific diagrams: And then there are people who just say, "Forget this, I quit.":
  19. As Christians, it's important to know the difference between right and wrong.
  20. For some reason, as a child I remembered Rev. 14:7, "Fear God and give him glory." Don't ask why, I can't remember.
