Conducting Watchtower Study this Sunday, excited and humbled!

We were just told that Melbourne was the most popular destination for all International conventions this year.. we still "struggle" to accommodate all special full time servants etc... coming to Melbourne
-
the privilege of being busy in welcoming them...

Melbourne is such a lovely tourist destination. Since the currency exchange is so unfavourable to most Asians (MYR3 to AUD1), few can afford to go there. Even when many brothers and sisters wanted to attend the Jakarta conventions, we were only allowed to book hotels arranged by the society which cost $100. Even my elder (with high paying salary) and his family from Jakarta could ill afford such 5 stars hotels. It was a good thing otherwise many will go over and overstretch the capacity of the convention halls. Better we spend AUD50 return ticket (minus the luggage fee) to JKT and attend the meetings and stay in losmen (guest houses) or dorms for less than $10. I always get invite to attend the usual conventions there but have never taken up the offer. I find it more expensive to visit East Malaysia then it is to go to Asean countries. But with the recent exit tax, I might have to forgo the overseas excursions.
Have a wonderful International convention.

We had our Be Strong Assembly today, and Few talks mentioned (quite directly) to expect our trials to increase as Satan “is ready to attack us” (Branch representative conveyed that as well)

Our meetings each week seem to mention how serious our time is. Even today's WT had a pic of a clandestine meeting.

O...wow, 78 notifications ... need a week to catch up! LOL

The Dark Mode looks very pleasant, the grey area is fantastic!
Thank you Bob, I know you have spent precious time behind the keyboard.
-
Yes, and it's still a work in progress. Getting there though. I usually can get to it on the weekends. It's usable now so I can take a break from it and work on other things like....

That's great Greg.
I'm always amazed at how you retain the school information. You recognise it it subsequent WTs too (esp pioneer school stuff) and it all comes flooding back!
I guess this will come our way at some point.
We'll be thinking if you for the rest of the week!

Thank you again ....

Hmmm.. thinking about "Donut Club" but I have a strange feeling, that the idea will not pass Mods Team.......LOL just kidding...hmmm ....Am I?

My husband is the biggest connoisseur of donuts I have ever met. Unfortunately, our house is never without donuts. And doubly unfortunate - two new donut shops just opened up near our home (Rise - N - Roll [Amish donuts] and Dunkin' Donuts.
-
You've set me off thinking of donuts..
I in getting treatment for it but it's not working.
🍩🙄
-
I SOOO wish there was treatment for it! My husband can't stand to be without donuts in the house- ever! When he does buy them "fresh", he claims they have to be eaten within 24 hours or else he can't eat them. You can only imagine how long a dozen Krispie Kreme's last in his presence! To make matters worse, he is thin!!!! He literally hasn't variated even a pound in his weight in the 16 years we've been married. Makes me sick!

Thanks for the "word" search on the main page below. How do we play this game? LOL

Thanks Neil...you know for what.
-
Hmmm. Secrets. Now, let me see. I know I have a great big list of why I can thank Neil. (And if I haven’t done so, lately, thank you dear brother)
So, now our having inquisitive minds, will they run amuck? Just why is Neil being thanked? Do we get to start a list? We can, you know.
(Sorry, brother, that is what being cryptic gets you)😂😂😂😂😂

Bob, thank you for your upgrade work behind the scenes - highly appreciated. Work is work, and we are thanking you for taking "your personal'" time to do this, to benefit the forum members.

Anyone here from Calgary - Canada area? Need some advise.

Congratulations dear brother! ....

The Bom is forecasting purple and red everywhere because the front has stalled! Ours starts Friday with 40C on Sunday 😟
-
Wow, talk about cooking with solar fire. I still cannot imagine that kind of heat. I like it warm but that's too much over the top. It was -15C here yesterday if that makes you feel any cooler.
I'll send you some ice cubes. Don't have to tell you friends to stay out of the sun eh? You'll be roasted.
-
OK..we had a cheese and wine part.. plenty cheese and wine left, so we had another cheese and party again, many brought cheese and wine, so we have cheese and wine for another 2 parities ....I have to laugh ...feels like oil that never ends...Will I ever run out of cheese and wine?

That looks amazingly tantalizing.
Can I suggest an international cheese and wine party in the new system and all of Australia can be your backyard. Just a small party with a few million friends.
I've always wanted a reason to visit Auz
-
Aussie keeps sitting on us .. you lot gotta lose weight less cheese and donuts.
-
+42C in Melbourne today ..some country towns reached +45-46C

On the hottest days here it gets to around 32 or 34 . And that it difficult to deal with. I cannot imagine it being very livable at 42. What do you friends do to manage through it?
-
I wish I was there...

I am chairman today and using Benefit From TMS Education book for the last time ...bit sad, but we are moving so fast with the chariot! (I am bit attached to the book, due to the history of my past assignments- it was a good companion)
-
Irony..
I did our last meeting on Tuesday.. should have been Thursday but we have the CO visit and it is always on a Tuesday.
We had three step ins out of four items! It's nice to have had the freedom to counsel on what you like rather than what was scheduled.
I really like this Benefit book.. as other have said it is not deleted.. It can still be used in certain circumstances where the new brochure is not expansive on points you want to make.. in private.
How did it go Greg?

Thank you for the sense of humor that you bring in to this forum!

Watchtower today: Satan is trying to weaken congregations by ATTACKING families..and I can see this clearly in my own case.
-
He's been trying to destroy families over here for a long time.
Hang in there and keep it together.
