Hey all, just letting everyone know that after much prayer and personal research on the matter, I'm making the personal decision to deactivate my account on JWtalk shortly (my own decision). Thank you to the staff here for your hard work taking care of this site; this is not a reflection on that at all, as I have the utmost respect for you. It's difficult for me to leave, as I have been able to meet some very cool brothers and sisters here that I wouldn't have if it wasn't for this site, which I am grateful for. I wanted an opportunity to say that I have genuinely appreciated my time here, and want to say goodbye to everyone, and to wish you all the very best!

Just finished a Sheparding call with an Elder and the Overseer. Was nice. I was surprised though at the request/offer if I'd like to serve the congregation in a greater way, I was basically being asked on the spot if I could be in the position of a MS!

Of course, I had to explain the condition of my health and why I couldn't hold such a position, but it was a nice compliment regardless to be encouraged to reach out for such a role.

And at the hospital again... Woke up thinking it’s morning, but it was only 2 AM. This is starting to become a familiar place. Wifey had to drop me off at the ER because of abdominal pain that just wouldn’t subside. So they did an operation removing my gallbladder. Should be discharged later on today.
 
It’s interesting how the blood issue comes to the play even with low-risk procedures. Have to be ready to defend one’s beliefs. Anaesthesiologist wanted to hear my own reasoning as to why I didn’t accept blood transfusions. Not something I was exactly ready for all morphined up. And then the legalese Americano, signing waivers from left to right.
 
Now here’s for hoping for insurance coverage of the surgery. Can’t really foot a 50k bill 🙈 (= ‘Murica)

So to catch everyone up, David and I were married on 29th March. It was, basically us two, David's parents and two friends at the registry office. Then we had a Zoom talk and get together. It was incredibly nice. I might post some pics soon. Thank you all who showed concern and kept us in your prayers. 

Today I had the part about not being disloyal. My computer  suddenly lost power in the middle of a comment. Fortunately it was a brother who always gives looooong comments. I ran to a different device and logged into Zoom and he was still speaking. Apparently nobody noticed.

Good evening Everyone!   I just wanted to share  what has been going on since April due to the Pandemic.    As some of you already know, I work at a school.  Well, my Superintendent has been connecting and listening in on our congregation zoom meetings since April and has not missed but three since she began (one was due to a funeral).  She has even listened in when we have abbreviated Watchtower lessons due to our Circuit Assembly last week.    She and her 89 year old mom listen in and said they love listening in and learning.  They are Catholic.   I send her via text the public talk title each week and the Watchtower lesson for that week.   About a week ago after she missed a couple of Sundays she said to me, "Please don't forget us!"   I told her she can rest assured that we would not.   Anyways it is encouraging to see ones of a different faith connecting to our Zoom meetings.

Sisters and Brothers thanks for all the support in my threads I made, and for all the PMs I got of people reaching out and saying hello. Even though its likely I never see any of you in real life, I appreciate their being a legit JW website. And to be able to come here and read the discussions being had.

Oh well, it has been 7 months into COVID-19 pandemic and I had my first time leaving the job due to someone testing positive for it a few days ago. Manufacturing plant is closed for rest of day and some type of cleaning will occur later.

At our mised week meeting there was this announcement:
"4. Need for Legal Department Volunteers: In fulfillment of Jesus’ words at Matthew 10:17, legal issues which involve our ministry often arise suddenly, unexpectedly. In planning for this, baptized publishers who are practicing lawyers and can make themselves available to assist with legal advice are invited to fill out the online volunteer application form A-19. They will either serve occasionally as Bethel consultants or on a weekly basis for a minimum of one day each week as Bethel remote volunteers."
I was happy to apply.

So I’ve been doing my personal bible study, and decided to start back from the basics.  From Adam and Eve in Genesis to Revelation.  On this journey, one day I did the family tree of Noah and his sons’ descendants because I was getting confused just by reading the names in the scriptures.  I needed something visual to look at.  It was so much fun that I downloaded a Family Tree app (since I don’t think I have enough paper 😂) and began making a Biblical family tree chart starting with Adam and Eve.  Seeing all the names, doing the research on some of the little fun facts of lesser known descendants, and connecting the dots of how things came to be has been fascinating!  I look forward to every night to my personal bible study to add to my Biblical Family Tree and understanding more of the importance of each person.  I’d also love to know what little projects you friends have done for your personal bible study!

Ugh. Just got my first proper experience of the US hospital system. Dislocated my shoulder for the first time in 14 years. Doc was able to pop it back in. Waiting at the ER (hopefully) to be discharged. No Vegas and especially no swimming for me next week (wedding anniversary) 😭😭😭 Now just going to anxiously wait as to how big a bill will show up in our mailbox 💸

Woke up to a gentle Cafe Bosa Jazz music, getting ready to attend 2 witnessing groups today - loving serving Jehovah and be with friends who feel the same....It's going to be a wonderful day! 

They said self-care is good... But, I doubt whether I am taking care of myself or just being lazy...
