  1. Very beautiful capture, Sister Moss! Did you take the picture or did you find it somewhere?
  2. That's still a pretty big leaf. I like the colors. Not many autumn color changing leaves here that i know of... That was a great job on the edit! It really looked real at first. I mean, knowing the size of some trees in certain places, who knows how big the leaves will get...
  3. Thank you, Bob...That's what i've been told by some...haha. I started to take pictures a few years ago and have been learning through self-teaching and a few points from others. I've put most of my photo's on my facebook or flickr. It's been kind of fun and it's a good stress reliever to get away to look for shots. It's nice to know i'm not the only photographer here...but i guess that can cover anyone who has a camera and enjoys taking pictures
  4. This is one of my newest pictures that i've taken. I really liked how this turned out. A beautiful creation...
  5. Wow...a very interesting read. Thank you for sharing Bob. This just goes to show you that Jehovah is always there for his people. Lets do our best to support our fellow brothers and sisters, including having them in our prayers. We never know when this might happen to us too...may we always be prepared ourselves
  6. This was a very informative illustration, thank you very much for sharing!
  7. Since everyone seems to be sharing their dog's pictures, i thought i'd add mine too He's half pitbull/half shar pei. I had played around with the effects when i had posted it before elsewhere...i couldn't find any recent ones in color. His name is Peanut (but since he's kind of grown out of that stage), i usually call him PB (short for peanut butter)
  8. Wow, i'm surprised...i wonder if this quiz was made by a witness or someone else... Who ever did it, i think it's going to make a great alternative witness. I'm sure alot of people have taken or at least seen that test, so maybe it'll help answer a few of their questions before someone goes to their door/job Got 9/10 too
  9. Thanks Bob Very good point. It's kind of like the saying, "whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". It's true that if you can focus on what good can come of trials, if any, it can help to increase your endurance. But it can be hard to see that when it feels like the walls are burning down around you...but just knowing the door is close by can help...
  10. Thanks Bob, i'm glad you enjoyed my little video! Thanks for the tip about video embedding and embedding my video for me too; i tried to click that button, but i think i got confused because i just entered the url instead of the bbcode tag...no wonder it didn't work haha There's always something new to learn, eh? Thanks
  11. Thanks Sister Russel Thomas for the compliment I think that little boy was the favorite of alot of others too...can see why. He was so glad to pose for me too haha I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The project made me feel like i could do something to actually help, even though i didn't have all the skills. Also it was fun, always a plus
  12. Hope this link works...This is an older video of mine, but i still think it's one of my favorite memories About one hundred volunteers came together to replace the carpet in three rooms on the Club level of Qualcomm Stadium in California. This work was done free of charge as part of an agreement with the managers of the stadium to allow use of this stadium for yearly conventions. This was a video i made from pictures i took during the time i was asked to help out on the project. I was asked to help deliver and serve meals, snacks and drinks for the volunteers; was also able to assist on the carpet work also
  13. "The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for Jehovah to rescue him, and everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames with smoke rolling up to the sky.. The worst had happened! Everything was lost! He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. "Jehovah, how could you do this to me?" he cried.. Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied. Moral of the story: It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because Jehovah is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering.. Remember that, the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of Jehovah. You May Want To Share This, Because You Never Know Who Feels Like Their Hut Is On Fire Today.
  14. I've gotten this in an e-mail a few times...it's still funny At least the person knew his/her scriptures
