I fell asleep during the meeting today. Not nodded off. Went to sleep! A good half an hour. 
The WT Conductor came and checked on me. He said, “Good. I was worried about you being depressed”. 
Several came and made sure I was okay. No comments from Bea today. 
I was sitting next to a good friend. She said she got sleepy, and realized I was asleep, and had to stay awake to make sure I didn’t fall over. 
Know how you feel refreshed after a nap? I was that asleep! 
I’m thinking about old people. Yes, old people, and how I viewed them when I was younger. 
Curious. Here I am. Next. b’day, I will be 80. My memory is touch and go. I’ve lost some of my strength, but, I still can work hard in the garden, and outside. I don’t pick my feet up as I should. (We have stairs. They remind me once in a while.) 
And, wisdom? Got to think on that one?
(No, I did not snore. For which I’m thankful. I think my good friend would not have allowed that!

Well, it happened. Our dear brother died. It was like he was a part of my DNA. I’m full of cherished memories. And so grateful.
His dear wife can start to heal. Jehovah just had his arms around her. He had cancer all over. I can still hear him saying, “I have a cough worse than Bea Nix.” (I’m known for a dramatic cough of unknown origin)  
He was a center of our congregation. I told his wife, “He grounded me”. And, that he did!
Add to broken hearts, he was of the anointed. Talk about conflicted. We knew we’d loose him, but just how.
This is a special, unique thing I may never experience in my life again. And, yes, Jehovah will help us all to heal😓

No beds to be had on the Oregon Coast. Nearest  bed was 100 miles away. Ambulance was ordered, they too are busy, it took 5 hours for them to show up. Two hour run to the Hospital in Spring field. The worst part besides haveing to do it without my wife's presence was the two hour ambulace ride. I was told it would be very uncomfortable and it was. Given the choice of the ambulance trip or having my fingernails pulled out one by one, I think I would lean toward the fingernails.

Could this be a start of something? 86  in the shade, Newport on the coast. At the moment our yard is in the hottest place in the state.🥵

I cannot believe how some people can show so little regard for their neighbors.   
 
My insurance company sent me a Covid packet last summer
with a big blue sign that says "This House Practices Social Distancing".
The sign is prominently displayed on the window of our front porch entrance.
 
Well, one of our hay customers just ignored that sign and walked right into our kitchen--UNinvited
and UNmasked.  
 
(She, and many of her church members, got Covid last Winter, by not practicing social distancing,
and by continuing to attend their church services, in spite of warnings.)
 
She displayed no respect for our home, or any concern for our lives.  
 
In other words, she showed no 'love for her neighbor'.  

9:30 at night after a day of calm winds and 64 f. it is now 80 degrees and rising with high east winds. This isn't my Oregon. We do not have air conditining on the Oregon Coast.

Yesterday was our 61st wedding aniversary. We were not planning anything big. A couple in our congregation had told us they were bringing dinner. Our daughters wanted to have a little Zoom get together.
What a surprise, all our active family members (13) were zoomed in including our niece who joined us from somewhere in China (15 hour and 1 day difference in time.) It turned out the dinner was coordinated by Leslie and Jerri through the local family. The get together lasted an hour when Leslie said "Your dinner is here so we will say goodbye." At that moment the doorbell rang and we were presented with prime rib for two and a bottle of fine wine.
Glad we could keep it small.
