Gary Slocum's Achievements

  1. When the speaker keeps pausing after referencing a scripture and the audience is completely silent because he keeps forgetting tablets don't rustle. Then he says he keeps forgetting every time.
  2. The pressure is really being upped with all this violence, we're almost going back to what the Truth book said in the quote frm Toynbee so they're sweating: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2016/03/the-UN-has-a-plan-to-restore-international-peace-and-security-will-it-work/ Article was printed in 3/2016.
  3. Net Witness when not a month can go by without a tweet, alarm, notification, or bell going off and rainng on a brother's parade...
  4. John here, a bit delayed, got stuck on Patmos havng visions...#was a revelation
  5. Wow! Where is everything? I saw a beard post! Lol. Got an email but nothing here.

  6. I have taken geology classes and it is well known that carbon dates for coal and such can only go back to 40,000 years as the half-life used is no older. The next marker is potassium-argon dating to 387,000,000 years and before so that leaves an incredibly large gap in which most life of larger fossils falls which cannot be reliably dated by any radiological method. (Uranium is 4.6 billion and solidified igneous rock can be dated to 4 billion years) As noted recently, the 'days' are 'periods of creation' which overlap so we can only hypothesize reality until Jehovah sees fit to give us a firm answer. MAN and his history is very reliably dated by Scripture so these caveman 'stories' are just lies laid uopn lies. The skull tells you if a bone is a human or primate by the placement of the brainstem and the opposable thumb on the phalanges. I told a guy recently that you cannot tell me my house is 4 billion years old because I made bricks out of stone. So 'relativistic dating' must be used which is incredibly hard because of so many factors with so many variables. (Layering, erosion rates, fault line shifts, etc.) empirical evidence is almost useless because you cannot derive an experiment that you can repeat to get the same reliable results. Ok, so I am starting to sound like the OJ criminal defense team, lol. I'll leave it at that...
  7. When you read for the book study, touch the wrong place on your ipad and have to use backup.
  8. When challenged by the Diamond Californium Supreme member. Sorry, a bit radioactive so this post self-deletes in 3 years. When you have become part of the congregational group whose phone went off during the meeting...
  9. Human imperfection is sometimes just too weird to think about!
  10. Updated link as the brother put it on YouTube minus any jw.org pics formerly used: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fcWDYAZEgN4&feature=youtu.be
  11. Brendan's little girl did this little jingle: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9foqyeygp9c73x9/Jingle%20-%20Try%20JW%20dot%20Org%20-%20360%20B.mp4?dl=0

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
A friend knew I was interested in religion so he made an appointment with some 'weird people' and so the brother asked me what God's name was. Tried various things but he kept asking it over and over. He then turned to Psalm 83:18 which astounded me as I had never heard it in church. So I accepted a free home bible study which for him was 'intense,' to say the least. 4 hour grueling sessions because I am a scientist type. Came to my first meeting n dungarees and a surfer shirt. No one skipped a beat. Quit smoking and dope and cut my hair soon after and bought some better clothes as I had been a hippie wannabe. My mother grabbed me around the neck and told me she was gonna make 'John the Baptist' out of me and pinch my little head off. But I remained firm. Soon the nationalistic furvor died to studied disinterest and I got baptized in '74.
