Shawnster got a reaction from EccentricM in How would it feel to live 1,000 years in the paradise? Not related to human perfectio
The fact that Kingdoms come and go is because of human imperfection.  You really cannot remove perfection or imperfection from this equation.

Why do languages drift over generations?  Imperfect people and death.  If you live forever, it's not like you're suddenly going to decide to start pronouncing words differently or speak a new language.  Plus, your native language will always be your native language no matter how many other languages you speak.

Why do kingdoms rise and fall?  Greed.  Selfish ambition by powerful men bent on conquest.  Complacency, sloth, and internal decay due to rulers not caring about the citizens.  War, famine, natural disasters that are too devastating to recover from.

Why do different cultures even exist?  Language barriers.  Geographic isolation.  Oppression, conquest, and slavery.  People die and subsequent generations either forget or no longer know they have family on the other side of the mountain.

That might be a review of StrictionD, but that doesn't guarantee the quality of the company or the quality of the StrictionD that is being given away for free.  Some companies offer cheap knockoffs of products.  Let the buyer beware.

I do more scrolling than reading on Facebook.  I think a lot of our problems are "self-inflicted."  Had I stuck with just Witnesses for friends, that would have cut out a lot of the political drama.  Had I not "liked" and "followed" all these other news and entertainment pages I would see less junk.  There would still be the advertising to deal with, though.

Facebook's not the place for a conversation.  I've found it's best use is to keep up on pictures and activities of family and friends.  Even at that, I don't need to see every dinner my friends eat.  LOL

Shawnster got a reaction from Poly Ester in Do we have a RSS feed for the daily text ?
If I remember correctly...  software changes we've made over the years removed that option.  I believe we discussed it and determined it was no longer necessary since there are now numerous ways to get the Daily Text on our mobile and electronic devices.

We do still post the Daily Text here on the board.  https://jwtalk.net/forum/21-considering-our-daily-text/  Annie works hard every day to encourage discussion on the day's text.
