  1. You can open .jwpub files on windows by clicking the link to the file and selecting jwlibrary as the program to run the .jwpub file. On the Xiaomi phone, you can download the file to your phone. Hold down on the .jwpub file and select jwlibrary to open the file.
  2. Here is a summary of the morning worship "290. Honor the Superior Authorities" by Bing CoPilot: Introduction: The page is a transcript of a talk by Geoffrey W. Jackson, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, on how to honor the superior authorities based on Romans 13:7. Honor the Authorities: The page explains the meaning of honor and the challenge of honoring the authorities in a world with an overload of information and personal effects of their decisions. How to Answer Authorities: The page gives examples of how the apostle Paul answered the authorities with respect and mildness, even when he was wrongfully imprisoned and accused by them. Experience: The page shares an experience of how Jehovah’s Witnesses in a country where they were banned showed honor to the government and did not seek to embarrass them, resulting in a peaceful relationship and increased privileges. Such a wonderful experience of not embarrassing the government in the previously banned country. Does anyone know which country this is?

  4. Thanks for the reference to the WT study article 39 'Is Your Name in “the Book of Life”?' in W22.09😁 The same WT contains a "Questions From Readers": "Who will be resurrected on earth, and what type of resurrection will they experience?"
  5. I agree that functional strength training is better. 3 months ago I started doing functional (1hr)/HIIT(45min) type training and find it gives me more strength for activities like bending down, lifting and also made my joints less stiff. These are some of the exercises the classes made me do. I can't do them at the speed of the young lady as I'm 72 but can do them at a slower pace. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5s1EL-H4jtM?feature=share Its a simple exercise, raising a weighted ball over the head and slamming it to the ground but its a good functional exercise.😁
  6. Download link for the talk and transcript on Mega.nz. Here is a summary of the talk generated by Bing Copilot: The Resurrection Hope - A talk by Antonio Timothy, a circuit overseer of Jehovah’s Witnesses, about the biblical teaching of the resurrection and why it should be real to Christians. Death as an enemy - The speaker explains that death is not part of God’s original purpose for humans, but an enemy that will be brought to nothing. He contrasts the Christian hope of resurrection with the false doctrines of nominal Christianity that teach that people go to heaven or hell when they die. Lazarus’ resurrection - The speaker analyzes the account of Jesus resurrecting his friend Lazarus from the dead, and shows how it proves that the dead are unconscious and not in any other place. He also highlights Jesus’ compassion and power over death. Types of resurrection - The speaker mentions three types of resurrection mentioned in the Bible: the heavenly resurrection for those who will rule with Christ, the resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous on earth, and the better resurrection for faithful worshippers of Jehovah in the past. Resurrection as a source of hope - The speaker shares some experiences of Jehovah’s Witnesses who faced persecution and death with courage and hope, knowing that they will be resurrected. He also invites the audience to imagine the joy of seeing their loved ones again in God’s new world.
  7. The snipping tool is also easy to use. Just press the windows key + shift + s. Then draw a rectangle around what you wish to snip. The snipped image can then be pasted onto other apps by Control + v. Another advantage is that there is an OCR function now built into the snipping tool.
  8. Thanks for bringing the copyright issue to our attention. BTW: Some service reports are available on jw.org.
  9. Our midweek meeting this year is on Tuesday as there are 4 congregations sharing the hall to lower the rental cost. So each year the congregations will rotate the night for the midweek meeting. The same applies for the weekend meeting slots. When one of the congregations meeting on Wed, Thu or Fri have a circuit overseer visit we have to swap our Tuesday slot for the other congregations meeting night.
  10. Personally I'm using a midrange Xiaomi MI 10T Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB SD memory which costs about US$500 for 3 years now. It came with a 2 year warranty. It displays the JWLibrary bible verses very quickly. I'm very pleased with the phone for running JWLibrary as it is quick. My wife is happy with a low end OPPO A95 with 8GB RAM and 128GB SD memory which costs about US$240. The price includes 2 year warranty and extra 2 years warranty. It displays the JWLibrary verses adequately but is a lot slower than the above phone. I feel the OPPO A95 phone with the Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662 (11 nm) CPU to be the minimum configuration to run JWLibrary. The Xiaomi MI 10T Pro phone comes with the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 5G (7 nm+). I find it to be fast in displaying the scriptures on JWLibrary.

  12. This makeuseof.com article talks about whisper desktop and also give instructions on how to install and use it. How to Turn Your Voice to Text in Real Time With Whisper Desktop BY ODYSSEAS KOURAFALOS PUBLISHED MAY 19, 2023 Whisper Desktop is a third-party GUI for Whisper, made for everyone who'd prefer to click buttons instead of typing commands. Whisper Desktop is a standalone solution that doesn't rely on an existing Whisper installation. As a bonus, it uses an alternative, optimized version of Whisper, so it should perform better than the standalone version.
