Please do so. It's the world we live in, its tougher and tougher towards the end. Thank you so much though, you taking up that minute to acknowledge and respond is appreciated.

      Thank you

      HI Theo,

There were several good topics that were started a while back about "working from home". Try using the JWtalk search and you will find those topics which had various work suggestions and links to websites for working at home. I hope this helps you in some way my brother.:)

      I didn't think of that.

Great. Thank you for that great advice. I'll get to right away.

  2. I watched the Children Act. It was all smooth sailing at first until the boy developed a bizare relationship with the judge. It almost portrays the boy to be mental. In the end he rejects the religion. It is clear to me that the aim was to entertain. The purpose of the boy developing some kind of an attachment to the judge is to make the movie more dramatic. In my opinion not necessarily to portray witnesses in a bad light.
  3. It will take a THOUSAND years for Jehovah to fix humans and bring them to perfection!

Shows there's a lot wrong with us, so keep working on yourself and not others but you can help others to work on themselves.

The way I understand it - between people getting resurrected and growing to perfection, the whole process all the way back to Able will be done within that 1000 years.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. Another way is that humanity has up to 1.000 years. Many, unfortunately, will not manage the process of allowing Jehovah to become everything to them within that 1.000 years. Some will finish the process of attaining perfection much sooner than others. Some resurrected later, will obviously need less time than those resurrected from the last centuries before Armageddon. Or so, at least, it would seem.

  4. Hi People

Can anyone help with some sign language video tutorials needless to say I want to learn some sign.

South African Sign is priority but American is still ok. Apparently they are very similar.

    Thank you

Thank you so much sister. I looked at those and they are great. My only problem is that they come in fractured segments, not really one progressive series of language classes.

In NZ we learnt the basics through a polytechnical institute who had online lessons also - that progressed the student gradually - perhaps you have such an asset online in South Afica? Or get in touch with an institution there to see if they have free lessons then you can progress it to Theocratic Signs.

  5. Yeah before this talk I really had the perception that Jehovah granted his ancient servants favours like saving them from harm and protecting them. But this talk really put into perceptive that those "special favours" we really just in line with Jehovah's purpose other than that they had to endure trials like the rest of us. What really shined the light regarding that point was the example of Jacob. He stressed and mourned for many years even at the point of wanting to die. Why didn't Jehovah just tell him that Joseph was in fact still alive? Because that was not necessarilyin line with his purpose Jacob had to endure. We have to endure as well in this day
  6. There are some accounts in Jeremiah and Ezekiel that took place concurrently and yet Ezekiel comes after Jeremiah Just that Jeremiah's prophecies were for the Jews in Jerusalem but Ezekiel's audience were for the Jews in Babylon. So some events overlap . That's why reading the bible requires proper research to understand
  7. Another schedule is foundin a watchtower article the theme is "do you let God talk to you every day" the schedule has been made to be an interactive PDF whe're you can write the date you read certain chapters and you can tick them off. The abbreviation is "sbr" ... I'll look for it and find it and attach it
  8. I think, I gotta improve on my love for the whole association of brothers. I've got to take an interest on how our brothers are doing in court and legal battles they are facing. If it was me persecuted in prison, I would appreciate the brothers'prayers. I should do the same for others.
  9. Over here there are outbursts of Xenophobia, people chasing foreigners out of their shops. Shows how dangerous national pride can be.
