TODAY we are celebrating our 66th wedding anniversary.
He has been a faithful Brother for 50 years, a MS who pioneered many years. He is now in hospice in a nursing home so I don't know if there will be a 67th. 😢
So please celebrate this day with us....💕

At the end our CA on 27th Nov, our CO announced that he and his wife were to go to Sydney Branch. It was as unexpected for them as it was for us.  We have our CO visit this week with a lovely new CO and his wife and we're his first cong as CO. 🥰 His first service talk was really good.  
I'm sure they get younger every year. Oh wait! No! That's me just getting old, isn't it. 😬

Melbourne it's ending the longest lockdown in the world this Friday! We are 70% fully vaccinated and soon reaching 80% when more restrictions will be lifted (like travel in the country) Covid-19 cases are still very high, so it will be interesting to see what happens next. Can't wait to get out from Melbourne and visit some rainforests...

Funeral for a 92 yo brother today. Many connected on Zoom. 69 years of faithful ministry for Jehovah in my region. Lot of emotion, people meeting again after decades... Can't wait for the reverse ceremony in Paradise...

I love to see the surprise on faces when they open up the commission… today was no exception 🥰

Nice 1st day of Co visit. Glad Jehovah helped me and with treasures part and helped others with their parts. Looking forward to pioneer meeting tonight! 

Enjoying our Circuit Assembly today (with Circuit Overseer)... it's lunch break now.
 
One baptized in our congregation (which happened yesterday), a young brother. He was baptized by his dad! It was likely in the family's own pool, but obviously the two of them gave each other a hug afterward!

Well, this summer continues to be deadly. 
 
A 40 year old man (a local) left his home apparently to go hiking. He didn’t tell anyone how long he’d be gone or anything.
 
They found his truck Tuesday morning and found his body this morning. Apparently, he fell from a cliff. 😢 

Last I developed a serious case of pneumonia. Because of the covi/hospital cituation I put off going to the emrgency a little too long and required immediate hospitalization. No beds to be had on the Oregon Coast. Nearest  bed was 100 miles away. Ambulance was ordered, they too are busy, it took 5 hours for them to show up. Two hour run to the Hospital in Spring field. Checked in at 11:30 PM.
The worst part besides haveing to do it without my wife's presence was the two hour ambulace ride. I was told it would be very uncomfortable and it was. Given the choice of the ambulance trip or having my fingernails pulled out one by one, I think I would lean toward the fingernails.
 

 
 

Today is the anniversary of the day I met my wife  15 years

Thank you all, for being so encouraging here on jw.talk, during constant yo-yo lockdowns this site proved to be a "gift" .While millions are in lockdowns etc, we not only have our meetings, but also this wonderful community  to lean upon. Thank you all again.  

Was assaulted yesterday, punched 5-6 times in the head by violent neighbour. Still shaken.  Need prayers.

Pfizer shot for me and my wife this Saturday, bit scared but happy that we finally made a decision. 

I am scheduled for cataract surgery in 12 days, and I am not vaccinated because of various health issues. So with the upsurge of the variant cases and deaths I am a little nervous and worried. I know the facilities say they are very careful to keep their places clean but I am still not very confident because it's such a close and personal contact with the doctor and nurses there, and my immune system and age.
I'm trying to decide whether to take a chance with the vaccination or canceling the surgery, but I really need it to be done. 
I have read everything possible about the pros and cons but it still seems to be as uncertain as it was in the beginning..the conclusion I always end up with is, it's my decision...🤔Has anyone in my same age group (elder) health issues and unvaccinated had this surgery during this pandemic that can give me some confidence in one direction or the other. . . .

I like JW talk...hands down....not saying that for likes, but for love😃
