  1. Update to Study Bible showing on IPad/iPhone. Study Notes for Hebrews now available!
  2. Possibility for 2024 Governing Body Update #3? “Brothers choosing to wear a tie must use a spirit level when putting it on.”
  3. That’s what Emma said. It must be a relief. That sounds exciting!
  4. This miserable brother misunderstood the announcement.
  5. Update available that hopefully fixes some of the issues we have been having. (iPad/iPhone) 😀
  6. https://www.jw.org/en/library/series/more-topics/2023-events-bible-meaning/ The earthquake statistic is from May. Do we know how many more there were this year?
  7. I’m anticipating some less-young brothers growing a beard, realising it is grey and makes them look older, trying to dye it for a while, then giving up and shaving it off! (Happened to me a while back.)
  8. That was a huge amount of work. Didn’t they say there were around 1,000 voices?
  9. We have quite a lot of light pollution here, but it is possible to get some good sky shots. This is part of a time lapse I took a few weeks ago with my iPhone. It is almost pointing straight up but it was photobombed by a fox sitting on the conservatory roof. I thought it was a bat at first! edit: doesn’t seem to play FullSizeRender.MOV
  10. Imagine if Lazarus was a bit older, and a dad: Martha: Lord, it has been four days! Jesus: Lazarus, come out! Lazarus: Yeah, I was just resting my eyes.
  11. My trackpad is set to respond to touch/double-touch, instead of click/double-click. Some apps still insist on the click, or even actually touching the screen with a finger. iirc, I couldn’t make the little menu pop up for a verse (and have the verse selected) without actually clicking/using the Pencil/touching the screen. Generally, Apple apps respond as expected but others can be inconsistent. For example, Apple Maps will scroll just by sliding a finger on the Trackpad, but Google Earth requires the trackpad be pressed down.
  12. Also on iOS/iPadOS. I am so glad about the improved trackpad support! There is an inconsistency between trackpad and Pencil support in a few apps I use, but JW Library was top of my ‘wish list’.
  13. Emma had an nice conversation with a sister on Facebook and said how much she was enjoying the ‘bird-cam’ I had set up. She shared a nice picture but forgot about the dead squirrel lying on the slabs further back!
  14. Managed a few shots of the eclipse when the clouds cleared a little.
  15. Another fireball! Third one on this camera in less than 2 months. FullSizeRender.MOV
  16. We had another fireball. This time the newspapers asked to use the video. They spelt my name wrong, so I have 15 minutes of somebody else’s fame! 😂 (Contains flashing adverts) https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/meteor-fireball-shoots-across-uk-26942274
  17. I was the same for quite a while. Inverse after-images when looking away just after a few seconds. I seem to have got used to it now though.
  18. Caught a nice fireball on my skycam last night. FullSizeRender.MOV
  19. Insight volumes on JW Library just got a big update on iPhone/iPad. Now 251MB and includes pictures, maps, charts. 😃
  20. Okay, I suppose, if we had regularly been putting a Bible in the window before the conflict started. (Hypothetical I know.) Da 6:10 But as soon as Daniel knew that the decree had been signed, he went to his house, which had the windows of his roof chamber open toward Jerusalem. And three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed and offered praise before his God, as he had regularly done prior to this.
  21. Bug NOT FIXED in 13.0.1 (edit: on my test installation on an old iPad.) i.e. Don’t download 2014 Annual Meeting at 720p on JW Library or it will crash every time you select the Library tab. Finding the Annual Meeting file on my Mac and deleting it did not fix the problem. I had to uninstall JW Library and then also delete the media files that survived uninstallation, and then reinstall JW Library to fix this.
