  1. My goodness - "why keep it simple if "complicated" is also possible?" (a saying here in Germany: "Warum einfach, wenn´s auch kompliziert geht?")
  2. From today's perspective, it is of course very "odd" to see how Jesus and his apostles were portrayed back then, that a cross is actually shown instead of a stake, etc. but the photodrama of creation was simply REVOLUTIONARY in its time and I have often wondered what it must have been like to watch it. Thank you for giving me this opportunity over 100 years later. P.S. Is this really a woman playing the role of the angel in the Garden of Gethsemane?
  3. Thank you, JR, I will definitely look into it PLUS I really love the idea of your website! Today I will be busy with all kinds of preparation for the memorial, but tomorrow or the next day I will have a very much more detailled look at your website. I´ve always admired people who have the beautiful talent of writing songs because I LOVE music. Many songs have such an incredible impact on me and my emotions, that I always think whoever wrote them accomplished a miracle So, I´m looking very forward to exploring your website during the next few days. Thank you.
  4. I need your expert advice on the following matter: I have been using a private website for about 10 years now where I upload my vacation photos (if you don't know it yet and would like to take a look: www.chrissy-on-tour.de 🙂). However, the provider I used to create the site and buy the domain from is meanwhile quite expensive (120 euros a year, that's about 138 dollars). I would like to switch to a cheaper - or even a free - version. However, I'm overwhelmed by all the offers on the web, and after doing a bit of research, I'm no wiser than I was before. So I'll pass the question on to anyone who has experience with this: Which provider can you recommend to me? The requirements for me personally would be The simplest possible operating system (drag-and-drop or something similar would be ideal) without the need for special technical knowledge a fair price in the case of a free provider: As much storage space as possible, as I upload more pictures after every vacation of course Thank you! 💕
  5. Must love Jehovah more than anyone else, including me Qualities like humility, honesty, loyalty... Well, actually if #1 is there, #2 is likely also to be expected. An involuntary single (not searching for the time being)
  6. Beautiful! Love the original version but also "creative" and touching interpretations like this one.
  7. I did a Japan tour last year and I fell in love with that country and its people (and food) I liked ALL 10-12 places I visited, but my favorites were Kyoto, Hakone and Yokohama. If she wants to, your daughter can check out some of the places I visited here to get some impressions: https://www.chrissy-on-tour.de/japan.html
  8. Actually, if drinking coffee was a sport, I would be a champion
  9. I love sports! Unfortunately, I'm not very sporty myself, I like to call myself a "passive sportsman" because 99% of the time I watch sporting events and only 1% of the time I do sport myself. That's why I don't have a real "story" to tell about myself, except that my PE teacher in middle school advised my parents to sign me up for a soccer team, so that my ( at that time) "talent would be promoted". My parents weren't baptized at the time, but they were already so firm in the truth that they thought this was a bad idea and therefore I wasn't allowed to play in the team. Even though I only work out a little myself, I love watching others play sports, so I follow all kinds of sports (even on a sports streaming service): Soccer, basketball, American football, tennis, volleyball, track and field, etc. ⚽🏀🏈🥎🏐 Since soccer is the "number 1 sport" in Europe and I am very enthusiastic about it, I can also be found regularly at the stadium for live matches of my favorite team.
  10. Thanks everyone, this was helpful. Most of the YouTube videos I saw also recommend Airalo, I guess that's what I'll install for my vacation in fall.
  11. Hello everyone, in addition to the classic SIM cards for mobile phones, there are now also the more practical eSIM cards, which are helpful for stays abroad and cheaper than any data packages from your own mobile phone provider. I've already watched a few videos on YouTube about this, and it seems to be really easy to buy and activate an eSIM card online even before you travel, so that it works from the moment you arrive in your vacation destination. Nevertheless, I don't want to rely just on these videos and therefore ask you if anyone has already had a personal experience and would like to share it. Thank you.
  12. What a great broadcasting program! I experienced the whole range of emotions: enthusiastic, fascinated, touched... Almost all broadcasting programs make me cry at some point, but this one made me cry in several parts. Fortunately, I know myself and never start the video without having some tissues ready first.
  13. @Lloyd777 I can't afford this toy, but I'm SUPER CURIOUS to learn how you like it once you have used it and which feature impresses you most. Please keep us updated.
  14. Yes, me - as soon as there's an Android version and a rich grandpa who adopts me 😄
  15. Still makes me cry every time in the 30 years I've known it
  16. One of those songs that I love to blare out loud while driving (although of course I can't keep up with Anastacia's voice )
  17. The first musical I ever attended was "The Buddy Holly Story" in London in 1992 🙂 It was during our student exchange with a school in England. The next day we all gathered every penny we had and bought Buddy Holly tapes (YES, tapes! It was the early 90s 😁)
  18. Excellent, brother, you make Jehovah happy and proud of you 🙂
