We're really living in the last days eh? Today as I'm getting closer to walk in to my building, a lady with a child by her side, another one in the stroller, she asked if I'll watch the baby for her while she gets the car (a supermarket very nearby). But I very nicely declined. Why? I don't know her, she doesn't know me. Maybe she felt she can trust we JW's which is true (I offered her a tract which she didn't accept that's how she knows). Yet, for all intent and purposes I am a STRANGER! As I continued to my building and turned around, the car had driven up to her. Strange. I just wasn't going to put myself in a possible perilous situation, chancing her to call "foul."

I still have my flu (over three weeks and counting) so I attended today's meeting via the phone tie in.
For nearly two hours, some other sick person proceeded to blow their nose and cough their lungs out INTO THEIR PHONE AND THE EARS OF EVERY OTHER PERSON trying to hear the meeting.
I just have two words to say:
MUTE BUTTON
Oh, and I hope they get well soon.

Thanks to Jehovah the Memorial went well. We were able to meet in the KH Unexpected blessing

Pray for our friends in the way of the Oriville Dam in California. The are evacuating some 100,000.  Yuba City and Marysville are the two main communities involved. This is a huge  dam. 

Today is amazing!! It's 62 degrees and sunny and it stays light out till almost 6 pm!! I've been in the garden, have leeks, spinach and onion all up and looking good. I am so happy!

Loving Life

Japan Bethel was amazing! How lovely to meet my happy family working hard for us. I cherish this day as the highlight of my trip! And with Mt Fuji close by, wow! What a room with a view!

Talk about the weather here in Oklahoma .    The temp high is supposed to reach 74 degrees and tomorrow it should be in the 40's with temperatures dropping into Friday with sleet, snow, and ice.     

Going to have my first ever public talk in just a couple of hours...exciting, nerve-wracking, cough-inducing (still recovering from a persistent flu)

Went to ministry yesterday; got a call to say that granma is sick. Had to take her to hospital; spent a better portion of the afternoon in hospital: She got well after she saw the doctor.
 
Looking foward to a time when she will get well..after she sees the ultimate doctor....Jehovah God.

Watchtower today was so refreshing....did not want to go home after the meetings; Could not go to field service as the Cape Town CBD area has been cordoned off in anticipation of the Minstrel dances tomorrow. Have to contend myself with doing e-return visits and letter writing.

Went to a spine specialist today; The good news:
i. I got to talk to the transport driver half hour each way. Placed a mag and found out his deceased Mom was a witness. Also talked a little Spanish with him. He said he WILL read the mag.
ii. Specialist was Chinese (Mandarin Speaking) and understood all of my feeble attempts at conversational Cantonese.  Asked about xmas and I explained that like him, I did not observe that as a holiday. I got to share that I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and that there are many of Jehovah's Witnesses in China.

I do not think I am going forward with his recommended procedure. Husb has said if there is a chance of paralysis, he does not want me to consider it. 
 

Been rough. I do okay until my theocratic life and personal life give me real stress. Things of concern going on at the hall, and, someone abandoned a family of cats below us. Four kittens and mama. Came upon them two weeks ago after the meeting. Mama and one of the kittens socialized. We got them and took them to the shelter. Yesterday, we did a grab and cought the one we will add to our home, (deformed hind leg, vulnerable in the woods) and yesterday we caught both of the last two in a live animal trap! I know. Both of us know there are humans in bad shape too. But not almost on our property! We will tame the two down and take them to shelter when we have them a bit socialized. It rained last night, and at least I did not wake up worrying about them. (As soon as they stopped nursing, they were dumped) Just little kittens..
At the hall, things I just have to get past. With Jehovah's help...as I said, been rough.
