  1. Have to say I struggled with the article Avoid the darkness - Remain in the light. perhaps I’m taking it too personally! paragraph 17. Too what extent is it unacceptable to put secular interests, career, material possessions in first place? You’ve been affected by worldly thinking! It’s indicating it’s not wrong but when these take first place in a persons life, then it’s wrong? How does one know the difference or put a stop or pause to career, or choice of career Uni, material pursuits, secular interests? Sometimes I feel or get the impression, not to enjoy this life and focus on the future life?
  2. There will not be a lot on it by the organisation. A statement. Possibly a sentence or two on how many are deceased. No need to create fear or panic.
  3. How Much Time? hmm only time will tell. The Cusp of the Great Trib Soon, Very Soon. ’Any Day Now’ We’re running out of active words, so it will have to be soon……
  4. Yes agreed, it’s no longer about going back to the meetings in person but ‘actually getting everyone back’ it’s very convenient now to be at home for the midweek meeting. I enjoy being at home midweek for the evening meeting. I feel guilty being at home as I know I should be at the KHall - tiredness and laziness and some anxiety creep in. To avoid that I stay at home. Is that Wrong? Particularly if your in an appointed capacity?
  5. I never thought of it like that! That’s an insane statistic! Wow 😯
  6. It’s hospital admissions, they want to keep people out of hospital from corona virus (what ever strain) for serious ICU cases.
  7. We all have our own account to bare before Jehovah how we run, walk, sprint this race. Right now I would like to just ‘finish the race’. This is not a sprint but an endurance race. Matt 24:13 - He that has injured to the end is the one who will be saved. Mic 6:8 - what is Jehovah asking back from you? To walk in modesty with your God. Take endurance runner Haley Carruthers who crossed the finish line in a marathon on her knees and lost sight in one eye as she crossed the line. My Personal opinion here - I feel Jehovah would just love us to finish and to do so with joy.
  8. Living Down Under we are hearing a lot of news reports out of the US that the inauguration of the new president elect will result in further violence on the capital or in the capital. So much So that they are reporting here that ammunition has runout in America?? That’s insane what’s the Anger or rise up to violence associated with??
  9. Wouldn’t that be nice!! To finally hear those words. 🕊️ and security 🙏
  10. Im sorry you must have missed understood my post, that was exactly my point! The preaching work will never be stopped. But it doesn’t stop the devil Trying. Why does the devil continue in his wicked exploits? He knows his outcome but he continues. He is in direct opposition to Jehovah, stoping or slowing down the preaching work, meeting together is more advantageous than anything to him.
  11. I was thinking, perhaps this could even be a ploy by the devil to stop us meeting together? Stop the preaching work? Stop association? This could weaken many who are on the fringes of Jeh organisation. (Just a thought). Jehovahs people have already responded so quickly.
  12. Brings to mind the scripture ‘faint out of fear not knowing a way out’.....I wonder what this will lead to??? The economy is in catastrophe, any money they have thrown at this virus has already disappeared.
  13. This all sounds like a Soft Tissue injury......give it time and it will be back to normal. 😉
  14. Thankyou for your beautiful remarks, very thoughtful indeed.
  15. Not to me, but a brother who is exemplary in an appointed position. Is his current conduct worthy of imitation? Same for our sisters who serving as regular pioneers etc.
  16. Doesn’t trouble me, but others have spoken and suggested that an appointed brother, should desist from activity that is centered around hurting individuals.
  17. Hi Bro Richard, what Ive found from an 81 WT QFR. Boxing in a competitive and full contact sport is not appropriate for christians. Boxing in this perspective shows they are out to hurt and injure one another. That’s not the intention of what I was asking. Non contact and non competitive. Hitting a boxing bag and pad work for fitness. Would others view this as intent to inflict violence? thanks.
  18. How is ones view of boxing for fitness? Is this seen as ok if no physical contact is involved? What if an appointed brother participated in such. I’m curious, your thoughts.
  19. The topic of climate change has definitely voiced an opinion globally by all countries. It appears that each country has their own views as what needs to be done (that doesn’t impact their economy) it’s been a while since I’ve seen so many people globally take part in active protesting. How would this lead to a CRY of ‘Peace and security’? What impact does/Will peace have on climate change I can’t see the connection (ofcourse this is all highly speculative RE- climate change).
  20. Interesting thought? I’m not sure how global warming has an effect on Peace? Perhaps yes on security - food and water yes I see an issue with.
  21. Yeah it’s one of those things in a modern world that demands things 24/7. Which inevitably puts some of us to work during the small hours of the morning or very late into the night.
  22. Hi there to all fellow brothers and sisters. Any of you out there Working shift work in any capacity appointed or Not? How do you find getting to meetings? A challenge? I have the opportunity to modify the current work situation but it’s still Shift work for a public transport network more money of course and less work place politics. I’m not sure whether to go ahead with the position or stay with what I’m currently doing. This new position ‘could’ effect meeting, attendance, ministry, association. Any suggestions? Thankyou in advance.
  23. Will be doing ours at the end of July while in NY for a week. I was unaware of the integrity tour, until now. 👌👍
