I prefer good and clean music too. There can be a lot of discussion about what is good music. But at least my music is clean. I clean all my cd's once a week with a wet cloth. 😂😂

One day I hope to actually build my own Jukebox. It is not from these days anymore, but would be eyecathing at home, and filled with songs suggested in this topic. 🙂

Had our first meeting since the announcement. I saw 2 elders who didn’t wear ties. I only spotted one sister in my congregation that wore pants. As I was pulling up to the Hall, I did see a sister from the neighboring congregation coming back from service. She had on pants 😊 
 
I assume many sisters in my congregation may not have dress pants and will wear them once they shop for some. 

That’s why I said I would understand if I were the unbelieving mate and it was explained to me that she was being disciplined for committing a serious sin. Of course, disfellowshipped ones should explain why they are being disciplined and the proper steps to come back.

That’s exactly what I had in mind. I know the slave wasn’t saying we would unnecessarily associate with them, nor would I want to. That would be an act of disloyalty to Jehovah. What I’m saying is if I were the unbelieving mate, I’m not sure how I would feel about my girlfriend being totally ignored. I could understand folks greeting her but not associating with her if she was expelled from the congregation for serious wrong doing. I think the friends simply greeting a disfellowshipped person can have a big impact on an unbelieving mate.

I’m really gonna feel out of place wearing a bow tie to the meeting now 🤣
 
I need to go to bed, as I have my weekend meeting this morning. Looking forward to seeing who decides to not wear a tie and who wears slacks 😊

Sometimes you see ones get disfellowshipped for immorality and when they decide to come back, they bring their unbelieving mate to the hall. I sometimes think about their unbelieving mate possibly being stumbled by seeing the friends ignore their mate. I try to imagine myself in their shoes and wonder what I would think if I saw that. Would I agree with it or not? Would I let it stumble me? Now I don’t have to worry about unbelieving mates being stumbled at how disfellowshipped ones are treated anymore 😊

I’ve always wondered how we’ll dress if we continue to preach door to door during the GT. If we do preach door to door our persecutors won’t be able to tell us from a door to door sales person 😁

We are interning the New World with beards, collard shirts and pants 😁

Not that they had to, but women in my family would tell me how they hated having to shave for the meetings. Nobody is making them, just pressure from American culture 😊

Every winter when I’m arriving or leaving the hall and gust of wind blows some cold air on some of the friends, I always feel sorry for the sisters. I think to myself their legs must be freezing! Now sisters have have some warm pants to wear 😊
 
Also I can imagine some sisters may be relieved that they won’t have to necessarily shave their legs before the meeting. They can throw on some pants and hide it 😁

I’m going to do the same. I would feel half dressed not wearing a tie with a suit. I wouldn’t necessarily feel half dressed not wearing a jacket, but I don’t want to spend more money on dry cleaning or spend time ironing shirts. 
I’m not sure about not wearing a tie out in service. I would like to but I wear thick 100% cotton “wrinkle free” shirts during spring and summer and I don’t think they would look good with no tie. 

This was such a wonderful update 😁😁😁 I’m so happy for the sisters! I know some sisters on here were wondering if they would soon be able to wear slacks/trousers after the beard update. Makes me wonder if some of our dear sisters wrote the branch and inquired of this. Jehovah listened to your concerns 😊
