Intercore reacted to carlos in Any one here used AliExpress? I would like to buy something there, but never used the
AliExpress is a rather a market with thousands of shops. Some are great, some are simply frauds.
I only recommend them for cheap orders. My wife buys stickers and special papers there. If they never arrive or they are not as she expected, she only loses five or ten euros.
Another important detail is that things you order at AliExpress have to go through customs and you have to pay an additional tax. In Spain it can be up to 30 percent of the price of the product.
I recently bought a high end tablet from AliExpress because there were no plans to sell in Europe the exact model I wanted. It took over one month to arrive and a couple weeks at customs, but it was exactly the product I ordered and even with the tax it was considerably cheaper than buying a similar device here. Of course I know that if have any issue with my tablet, I have no guarantee of repair.

I understand, Andrew. But if you tell anyone that, they will ignore the neutrality part and will immediately assume that you support Trump. So it's better to completely avoid all discussion of politics.

Another wonderful benefit of having the meetings via Zoom like we are doing now! Such a great way for these ones to be immersed in your language and learn in such a direct way! I live in Indiana and had no idea that there was a Lithuanian population in Illinios (perhaps in Chicago or thereabouts?)

Intercore reacted to Tronora in Home studio? 😲
Yes, I have a dedicated room in the house for it. I think pros call Presonus (program & hardware) a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). And yes, I have drums, digital piano, two electric guitars (one amplifier), one acoustic guitar, PA (Behringer & active speakers) and an organ from the '70s. I sold my 5-string bass guitar, and I regret it. I sold it cheap to a friend because I thought she would keep it. But she didn't. (For other reasons, she is more of an acquiantance now).

Thanks for the tip! I might go for the Fire8Plus. That extra GB of RAM (3 total) should make the JW Library app fly.

Thank you!
I want to factory reset my tablet so I'm not sure if after reinstalling JW Library and re-downloading publications all the highlighting and notes will be there...

Intercore reacted to Beggar for the Spirit in Quick question: does JW Library's backup in "Personal Study" saves all your notes and
I recently backed up my JW Library on my phone so I could transfer a copy of that backup to my iPad, which includes all my notes and highlights. The backup and transfer seemed to work, I can’t be sure that every single note or highlight transferred but so far it seems like everything transferred.

I think both.
I once prepared the WT on my phone, then made a backup and restored it on my tablet, and the article was highlighted.

Intercore reacted to LoneWanderer in Is anyone familiar with a website for purchasing PC or gaming “keys” called, “cdkeysa
I have sometimes bought keys from other websites than the publisher/vendor and I have had mostly decent experiences. However, I have read claim that some sites resell stolen or otherwise illegally gained keys, which is why they can get them so cheap. It has happened me only for one game that the keys I bought through such a discount site were later made invalid on Steam--leading me to think they were "stolen"/obtained using a key generator for that particular game.
And as mentioned by Greg, if anything goes wrong, it can be difficult to get support unless you pay for a "refund guarantee" that many sites offer. On top of those platform fees you've got PayPal or similar fees and suddenly it's not that cheap any more.
I don't know if there's websites for software discounts, but for games I go sometimes on Green Man Gaming for coupons or wait for Steam campaigns/discounts.

Katty, hope you feel better today, what helps me to "enjoy" social media is moderation.
For example: I will not respond to every topic or get involved in "heated debates" (learned from my mistakes)
What also helps is not to drag "dead dog" when someone does not agree with us, we can respectfully move on by clicking on "thanks" emoji etc...conversations that hurt us are not worth continuing.
I have no idea what made you feel the way you feel, but please be assured that despite various personalities of members here on the forum we are ONE FAMILY.
I would buy you coffee and donut if I could...so virtual must suffice
