I fell yesterday. In service. I was getting out of a back seat, my feet got tangled in my purse strap, and down I went. Initially, flat on my back. Then I bounced, and my head hit the ground, and it bounced. It was a hard fall. I remember as I was in the second phase, thinking, “Oh great, a two phase fall”.
I'm sore today. Actually pretty sore, and I did my neck no favors. At my age, it could have been life altering. Have you any idea how grateful I am? I assure you, that will not happen again.
I could have broken so many things. I feel like I really jarred myself. As I said, one thankful person, I am.
(It was my call, I went on it, then we all went home.) A long day that ended well!)

The nurse in charge of setting up Home Health Care came this morning.
She stayed about 2 hours and collected a ton of information.
On Tuesday, a guy is coming to evaluate my Mom's ability, or lack of ability, to care for herself.  If she qualifies, the paperwork will be passed on to Medicare and her supplemental insurance company.  If her insurance approves coverage, then, and only then , will my Mom be able to receive some medical assistance.

Until then, we will continue to assist her in every way we are qualified to do so.
Neither of us can draw blood or do a lab analysis for her Cumadin levels.

In the meantime, I had to go back home because I have a doctor's appointment of my own tomorrow.   Our baby sister will hopefully take my place until I can get back.  She works full time but would be there for her after work.

My brother Brother Peter does such an amazing job of caring for my Mom.
I was able to handle all the stress of this past week, until she started saying hateful things about him behind his back.  I reminded her of all that he has done/is doing for her and that without his help, she would be in a nursing home.  Only, I didn't word it quite that nicely.  I am ashamed and sorry that I lost my cool.  But it wasn't her failing body that I couldn't handle.  It is her failing mind.  She sleeps 20 to 23 hours a day.  Her waking hours are filled with fear and confusion.  But, mostly she is frustrated.  I am sure her frustration lends to some of her darker moments.

She has no concept of what day, month or year it is.

This morning, she wanted me to open the drapes so she could watch my sister Teri get on the school bus.  My sister Teri is 49 years old.

Besides being mean and nasty sometimes, there is the fixation.
She keeps going on and on and on and on about wanting us to take her to some non-existent park to look for her mother's rings.  (They went missing when they moved her from one hospital facility to another.  They were stolen and reported stolen but are gone forever.)

We can explain the reality of the situation until we are both blue in the face, but she refuses to believe us.  My brother has driven her all around for hundreds of miles asking her to point out the park where she left the rings sitting on two wooden posts...just to humor her.  She feels so badly that she is responsible for the loss of her mother's rings, so we try to explain that she didn't LOSE them, they were STOLEN from her.  All to no avail.

Dimentia is proof positive that we were never designed to grow so old.

Thanks for allowing me to vent. ❤️❤️❤️

Talked to her about her funeral preferences.
    She doesn't  want one.

I was so relieved, because I just could not have tolerated
a catholic church service and all those Satanic lies.
Not with the marvelous resurrection hope Jehovah gives us.

So we will be holding a celebration of her LIFE, instead.

Well, it’s that time of year again.

An elder and his wife was scheduled to leave today for Monserrat. Usually they come back I think sometime in March.

Than I’m not exactly sure, might be closer to next week (Christmas week) we lose another elder and his wife to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as they are our snowbirds.

After what happened last year where this brother nearly got killed clearing ice off the roof the very day they got back, they may not come back till the week of the convention. 😁 Larry hates snow.

So we’ll be down to 2 elders for at least 3 months. We have 5 or six ministerial servants so I’m hoping they use them (or at least the one they have used once or twice already) to give the elders a break for the mid week meeting.

Whine time. (Wine!) My car’s tire was hit by a rock. It was down for a week. My husband came home with a new Dodge Ram, pick up. We have a new dog. And we love him. The point of all this. I really, really don’t like change. And, this happened all within a week, and, my system’s response? A case of shingles. Not a bad one, but enough to grumble. (Actually, sometimes it is bad) I went to the doctor. He was not impressed. No meds. But, I think sometimes it’s mostly internal. I did phone in for the meds today. He said if I thought I needed them...

I've just been informed by Social Security that I am no longer considered disabled according to their rules and will lose all support in a couple of months. I've never worked in my life, never able to maintain a strict schedule or cope long term with the chronic pain, irritable bowel and insomnia. It always inevitably leads back into chronic depression and mania. I can do a little, but then I have to follow up with resting for a day.

They don't have a majority of my physical issues on file from doctor's reports which is a problem, as I was considered disabled for mental issues... but they were caused by the physical issues in the first place, just haven't been able to find a doctor who understands or properly tests for them yet.

Of course, one should expect to read such a letter on one's anniversary of baptism, amirite? (Luke 22:31) “Simon, Simon, look! Satan has demanded to have all of you to sift you as wheat.

I just wanted to say that I love this forum and am thankful for the time I've been able to spend with everyone I've met here. ❤️Before I inevitably regress into insanity and say and do things which I will surely regret.

I’ve been helping my elderly/infirm spiritual mom and dad pack their belongings to move to their new home in the Gwinn area. One son came on Wednesday night to help thru Sunday, the other son came from Ohio Friday night thru Sunday morning. A brother came from their old congregation and helped as well. Their sons both had to get back home cause their both truckers and had to be back to work.
I never saw such heavy stuff being wheeled out (on dollies) of the old house and back into a new house so fast. Those guys never stopped.

O we started out with a 20 foot trailer.

Today, I am going up to their new house to pick them up so they can close on the house. I will be so happy to permanently get them away from the crazy landlady. They are thrilled.

Two days of standing/walking around and lifting was all my poor knees could take. I’m glad we didn’t have to do anymore on Sunday, they just couldn’t take much more. They (knees) needed a rest.

Than Saturday mom had a scary health issue so I took her to Marquette ER. So we were done for that day as it took forever at the ER. Turns out it was kinda what we thought it was. Worse bladder infection the ER doc ever saw.

Marquette (their now congregation) friends are already happy to have them back. At least there, (as they were in that congregation before) friends will call or even visit them and someone nearby who can take them to meetings on their good days.

    They won’t be ignored.

Stupid teenagers! I'm serious! They're sooo disrespectful,  and now it seems like they're the ones in charge of a Starbucks area at a Targets store.
So today (not the first time) I made a complaint to the policemen standing around. And what did they do? Absolutely nothing, except to say there's nothing they can do.
I mean, these kids are totally out of control! I asked the policemen "so who's the adult here"? Then gave a real example of how to take control.
Earlier today I'm on the escalate going up, my book bag on my left. Then a young man wanted to pass me by expecting me to move my bag for him so he can pass. What happened to patience? So I told him, exact words "look baby, you either wait, or step over, I'm too tired to pick it up." He seemed to have an attitude and I cared right? Yeah ok.
So he stepped over it with that "I'm a man" attitude. Whatever!
I'm really thinking that so-called adults are afraid of these people called kids.
    Makes me SICK!
