My wife has been sick since Thursday morning, she tested positive for COVID today. We will be Zooming the Memorial too. Since she is sick, I am going to try and make the bread for us this year.

I will have to take better care of my knees through diet, calcium supplementation, diabetes and cholesterol control etc. Right now doing physiotherapy to strengthen my knees.
Recently on my way to the airport, I fell down the escalator. Silly me took a 10 kg. baggage causing me to fall backwards. Must take elevator the next time. Pick myself up and carried on with my 7 day holiday, 2 ½ hours away. I surely know how to give my knees a hard time. Now back from holiday 2 days ago and will go for my acupuncture tomorrow.

Our congregation never sends invitations to the memorial in letters to territory. Only RVs, family members, studies, or someone we KNOW would be interested. 
 
Been kinda bummed about that. But with the non-response to our letters anyway it’s probably a good thing. It would just be a waste of brothers hard work. 
 
 

Monday is his first appointment. The outfit that did his replacement have it down to an art. His surgery was computer controlled. He was up and walking the same day he had the operation. He’s up and around, as much as he likes. “Well fed, and out of bed” posters in his room.

Started PT? I hear it’s not fun. I’ve just been told I need a knee replacement. Am not looking forward to it. Hope it goes well.

I hope so. Knee pain is really awful. My SIL suffers a lot. He's a child of agent orange, has terrible joint pain. So I can see first hand how it can hurt.

Currently we are experiencing winds of sufficient force in the Straits area to require an escort of certain 'high profile' vehicles across the Mackinac Bridge.

Examples of high profile vehicles include pickup trucks with campers; cars with small boats, bicycles or luggage attached to the roof; Ryder or U-Haul trucks; any vehicle pulling a boat; semi-tractors with enclosed trailers and all trailers with side walls over two feet in height. High profile vehicles must be escorted.

Motorists are asked to reduce their speed to 20 miles per hour as they approach the bridge and be prepared to stop. Bridge personnel are stationed at both ends of the structure to provide instructions regarding how and when to proceed across the bridge.

All vehicles must exercise appropriate caution. The Mackinac Bridge Authority is monitoring wind speeds at various points along the structure. Additional steps will be implemented if conditions change. If you are planning to travel to the Straits area, please tune to AM radio 530 or 1610 for updates.
