My wife has been sick since Thursday morning, she tested positive for COVID today. We will be Zooming the Memorial too. Since she is sick, I am going to try and make the bread for us this year.

  2. Visiting another Circuit Assembly this Sunday missed parts of the Morning while doing security walks of the car park.

One of our elders remarked recently that he actually got to sit and enjoy the assembly for once. I appreciate all of the attendants (especially those working outside the auditorium) who must miss parts they'd LOVE to just sit and listen❤️

  3. When I take the dog for a walk in the morning is normally when I listen to the Bible for my daily reading. When I read this was to much of a wow to do it thought about this Instead. Will now listen on her afternoon walk.
  4. We are having a visiting speaker from our neighboring circuit this weekend. He will have some friends and family also comes our hall will be full.

Today, I have come to be reminded of unity in paradise.

You spoke of a visiting speaker  few weeks ago.

Well, In my congregation we were supposed to have a visiting speaker tommorow. Sadly the wife of a tribal chief died ( apparently due to suicide ) now the entire tribe and any residents in this district must mourn - ie do not do anything activity ( including worshipping tommorow) because it is her funeral day.

We therefore had to inform the visiting speaker not to come, as meetings will only be held via Zoom and We need the speaker to be visible at the Kingdom Hall when he gives his important public talk.

  5. CO visit this week. A brother will be pioneering  for the first to

Our CO is visiting this week, too!

An elder called yesterday and wants me to give the RV instead of being the householder--on the week of the CO's visit.

Every day is an adventure, right?

  6. Had something  scratchy walk over me when sleeping.  Turned the lights on and it wasa weta.

Nooooo! I’m freaked out just thinking of it! 😱

  7. Yes on the other side of the island. Buildings in NZ are built to withstand earthquakes. Christchurch quake last major damage causing quake was a combination of older buildings and liquefaction. Hawkes Bay is currently going through an earthquake swarm and had the floods recently. Normally a 6.7 is nothing to worry about with recent events it will be added stress to the brothers and sisters there.
  8. https://www.geonet.org.nz/earthquake/2023p310616 Felt this one stabding at work. Can depend on what you are doing if you notice them.
  9. People seem to be looking for anything that causes them offense. Just another way to cause division amongst people.
  10. How low can they go with baptism. https://www.stuff.co.nz/bay-of-plenty/300835563/burgers-for-baptism-13yearold-baptised-without-parents-consent
  11. If your not used to earthquakes a 3.9 can be scary. Because in NZ they are just part of living here it is not scary until they get much bigger
  12. Please think carefully on what you post it is a deeply distressing incident. Are you adding to the distress by posting graphic content.
  13. Also further down the North Island about 6 1/2 hours road travel away. One of our brothers has gone up to help.
  14. The brotherhood in action. Yesterday we went to a beach in our neighboring congregation. As we were going to leave at about 6:30 pm managed to lock the dog in the car. Called for road side assistance and friends in the congregation. Was cooling down but I was stressed and upset.  Fortunately it was 10 minutes or so and the car had been unlocked and the dog was safe Meanwhile our friends had been busy we had a phone call from and unknown brother offering to come down and help.

Been there done that and almost got the t-shirt... and I am a locksmith..!

Ran quickly into the bank to make a deposit left the truck running....my dog was inside the truck and she decided to step on the lock button..locked all the doors, with my locksmith tools inside.

Red faced had to phone another locksmith to save me... lesson learned....and no one died...😇

  16. My mother received this text from a sister that she studied with. The study had been stopped due to a lack of progress I hope you're keeping well. I'm good, just starting to feel the effects of aging, my mind thinks Yes, I can do this - the body laughs and says No way. Anyway, I've really been wanting to tell you that all your hard work and time spent on studying with me wasn't wasted. You must have despaired at my lack of progress. I have completely understood for a long time now just why you discontinued my study. My problem was I allowed family things to get in the way. I knew back then it WAS the truth, I just didn't have the courage to stand up to all my family. When Jack was offered the job at Tasman, my only concern - is there a congregation in Kawerau, once I found there was, I was like 'OK, let's go" And here we are 3 decades later and I'm now a regular pioneer, started at the beginning of the service year last year. Am having a blast doing it, and really feeling so very close to Jehovah. So thank you for persevering with me, you didn't waste your time after all. ❤❤❤

  18. Some interesting results about the Big Bang Theory https://mindmatters.ai/2022/08/james-webb-space-telescope-shows-big-bang-didnt-happen-wait/ and a 3:28 video for those who have tine to watch https://mindmatters.ai/2022/08/james-webb-space-telescope-shows-big-bang-didnt-happen-wait/
  19. Moved back to my old congregation. We had till the end of the year to move JW landlords.  We were not looking for.somewhere  when a sister said her boss was looking to rent a house. They were happy to accept pets and wanted us to have the house. Jehovah was definitely behind us getting this house.

Was so nice going back was made to feel so welcome and loved. Wilmiss congregation we have just left but they are close Togo and visit.

  20. In anticipation of returning to the door to door ministry I  will be adopting the following training program. In between telephone calls I will be walking to the gate and back.

  22. Audio is now being tracked in History. Thought it did before so maybe a fix.
  23. A five letter word from Greg even with the most complex code in the world we all know what it will be.
  24. I chose to leave my last part time job due to increasing pressure to compromise and work on meeting  nights. I knew if I put Jehovah first I would be ok. This made the desicion easy.

Started a new job Saturday it is easier about 2 minutes drive from home as opposed  to 20 minutes.

There is down time in the job while waiting on customers  where I can use the time for personal study and letter writing.
