  1. In Ottawa, Ontario, Canada tomorrow the TWN is predicting 25 to 35 centimetres of snow starting at noon and going into Wednesday! Of course it has to be during our COs visit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This morning in Ottawa, Canada it’s +6c but this afternoon to drop off to -4c which will change wet sidewalks to ice rinks. Good thing the city has over-salted this winter - cleats ahoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. At almost 5 PM in Ottawa Ontario Canada, it’s bright and sunny -10°C. Warmed up a lot from -28 Celsius this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Jephthah’s sacrifice, while not resulting in direct progeny, his story and that of his daughter has remained to this day and may forever more for the edification of all true Christians resulting in a Christian progeny for them both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I wonder why the organization chose to delete it from the website, especially after we studied it multiple times! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Let our yes mean yes always! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. What a sullied reputation to have to live with for making unwise decisions, multiple times, after living most of his days properly obeying his creator! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What if the one taking the lead resists God-given responsibility at every opportunity? What is the one who is to be submissive is the one doing things Jehovah's way to the best of their ability? Jehovah is fully aware of each situation. So we can rest assured that being the case that each will be cared for appropriately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I wholeheartedly agree that Jehovah's reliable support is comforting in times of distress and, in fact, always! However, this is a sobering reminder that we need to consider each other to maintain our strength of faith as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. While today's text speaks primarily about younger brothers being trained to serve the congregation (and I wholeheartedly agree that this is necessary), we can all encourage all young and other ones - male and female - to serve the congregation with joy. When we invite various ones to work with us in the field ministry, for example, and share our experiences at the doors with others in our car group afterwards, this can be a real source of encouragement for all. This was my delightful experience in service this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I've heard that our current Bible (guidelines for this system) will also be available for reference in conjunction with the new scrolls which will specifically meant for life in the new system. I love that Jehovah never leaves us guessing about anything. However, as we learn and apply new things then and reference lessons learned from our past, let's never forget to remember from our heart so that we may pass the test of obedience at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ and forever continue to experience the reason for Jehovah's sovereinty! 12. I have recently started doing cart witnessing with other sisters in our local community. The situation really pulls at the heartstrings and makes me pray for the family that survive the sister's death. The new system can't come soon enough! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I agree that half-hearted service is useless to Jehovah and a waste of our personal time. For Abraham and Isaac to have strong faith, they had to be good students of whatever form of communication Jehovah provided in their day. We know that as the patriarch, Abraham must have set a good example for his wife 1st and their entourage in order to leave their comfortable life, then eventually train their beloved son to follow Jehovah's lead by their own faithful lead in their assigned roles. A good example for family heads these days! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. We know that very soon tribulation will come to all of us hence why it's called the Great Tribulation. Let's all work hard at strengthening our faith and complete reliance on Jehovah now before that happens so that nothing will surprise us or shock us out of the truth at that time. We need to be content especially with counsel because we know that Jehovah counsels those whom he loves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. We pray for our dear brothers and sisters in Venezuela and know that Jehovah will give them just what they need to endure. We can also hope that they have strengthen their faith to the extent possible prior to this particular tribulation occurring to them. Therefore let them stand strong in Jehovah! 16. In our 1st congregation there was a sister who was of the anointed. Later though she no longer partook. We wonder what happened to her 'calling' as we still see her occasionally at conventions (we're in a different congregation now), so she's obviously still in the truth. Not for us to judge. We're still happy that we mutually share the truth and Jehovah is the one to set matters straight in time, though we may never 'need' to know the reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. David, as we all well know, was a sinner, as are we all. But David displayed remorse and sought Jehovah's forgiveness while suffering the consequences of his bad decision. Like David, we seek Jehovah's forgiveness daily and do our utmost not to repeat sin. Therefore we can be confident that Jehovah is pleased with our efforts to best handle our sinfulness and is pleased to offer daily assistance. However reliance is crucial. 18. What an amazing arrangement Jehovah has made for those who will live on earth. We already know that human governments will be replaced by the Kingdom, but to think that in Jehovah's eternal wisdom, has selected those with vast experience as humans (including Jesus) to serve as co-kings of His Kingdom will only serve to benefit us in returning to eventual relative perfection. The individual experiences of those who were men and women on earth along with their new experience and training as heavenly sons and kings will serve to display an array of emotions and other feelings when both judging and training those on earth. No one here or in heaven will ever again be able to challenge heavenly direction as our kings have "been there, done that". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Though not having children of our own, I personally highly value children's friendships. When raised in the way of truth, we adults can learn so much from childish expressions which often come out 'uncensored'...and often delightful to the heart! As children grow in spiritual maturity, even through teenaged years, if they've made the truth their own, expressions of their faith continue to benefit adults who have really come to know them, and they continue to bring delight to Jehovah! "Out of the mouth of babes"... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I must attest personally to the words of today's text. It's true that the more we try avenues of service both inside and outside our 'comfort zone', the more Jehovah has something to bless, and certainly will. We just returned from a wonderful week in Canada's Nova Scotia and I made opportunity to witness several times with wonderful results! We also visited two different congregations during the week (Sunday in Digby and Tuesday in Annapolis Royal); what joy to acquaint with new and old spiritual family! Praise Jah for everything!!![emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. We're listening to the breeze and seagulls and watching the tide coming in, sitting on our rental deck at the edge of the Annapolis Basin near Digby, Nova Scotia. Ahhhhh, thanks Jehovah for nature and down time in this crazy system! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. How perfectly Jesus mirrors his father Jehovah. Though both can read hearts, they see in each individual the need for confirmation. How loving this expression of Jesus was toward this very ill man. And how that must have drawn him to Jesus all the more! Further, what a witness he likely gave to any of this contemporaries thereafter! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It makes one wonder how one could be mistaken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
