My first time I came in touch with the truth with I was about fifteen and her name was Miss Brown, which is what I call her. The parent that had custody of me found out and while we were at the Assembly of God Church my parent and my aunt stood up to pray for me because I was studying with JW. The pastor of this church told me that the “One who start JW was murder and you do not want to have any thing to do with a murder.” Well I listen to that pastor and stop having any dealings with Miss Brown, the one who I would help with her grocery shopping , clean her home, even trim her toenails and did her laundry, because she was old and handicap. I did not talk to her because I did not want to hurt her feeling about JW. So she dies about four year later and her children did not even claim her body. But the JW did look after her in this matter. This has haunt me because about a year later I found out the pastor lie to me about JW and I lost four years I could of help Miss Brown and maybe come into the truth. Anyway every job I would go to, I would find JW were there and they would always talk to me about the Bible. Well at my last job in NJ, I was marry by 19 and it was not working out and my wife was pregnant and I want to have an abortion and my wife final agree. Well I asked the JW brother I work with in 1974 what the Bible said about abortion he quickly show me. My wife was surprise that I no long want an abortion and I took my wife out to eat that very day as the brother counsel me. Later on I asked the JW brother what the Bible said about divorce and again he took me to the Bible and I did not divorce my wife. I had only two or three Bible studies and left for Texas. In 1976 I was baptize and so was my wife.
