  1. I might have...it's called paper. Not making light of difficulties, however the printed word is a bit more difficult to censor once we have it. Unless authorities begin going door-to-door searching for Bibles we will always have God's Word to guide us IF we don't abandon the printed word in favor of only electronic gadgets. Personally I use electronic media only as an occasional convenience, and rely on the hard copy of The Holy Scriptures as my "go to" source of scriptural information.
  2. And if he sits on his glasses he will have 20/20 hindsight!
  3. About the same as this??? (Jeremiah 10:23) 23 I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.
  4. Now let's say that the government imposes grocery store neutrality and the store with the good food and fair prices must sell you poor food for higher prices to prevent the first grocery store from going out of business? No real difference.
  5. Well it is Saturday and the internet is still running as it should, just like it did for two decades prior to net neutrality. I see nothing wrong with letting a business, in this case an ISP, decide what content they provide and what they will charge for that content. It is called the "free market". If someone doesn't want to pay what the market will bear they are more than free to not pay. That is their choice and they should not feel that gives them the right to whine about not receiving a product they freely chose not to purchase. As for the argument that ISP will either not provide ALL content or "throttle" content that is not their own that is a fallacy argument. I as a business owner should not be forced to provide the competitors product, nor should I be forced to provide the competitors product for a price power than what yields a profit to my business. On a strictly secular view governments have never been able to successfully operate any business.

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
Brought up by parents who were Jehovah's Witnesses.
Made the truth my own and was baptized and have enjoyed many avenues of service and responsibility within God's organization now for the better part of five out of seven decades of life.

My Hobbies & Interests

  • My Interests
Just about anything outside. I view my home as a re-fueling stop between other pursuits whether it be the ministry, visiting others who are not as able to get out and about, or working with livestock whenever I get the offer.
  • My favorite books
We all know what Book everyone says first, so consider it said.
After that I do not really have a "favorite". I read almost anything, but consider history perhaps to be my first choice.
  • My favorite music
Anything that is guitar driven. In the past I had opportunity to perform with a number of well known bands/entertainers. Not that that is anything special...just of some interest. I found out that they are just people, no better than average and mostly no worse.
As for the genres...country, country rock, blues, classic rock.
  • My favorite movies
All time favorite...Gone With The Wind, followed by The Sound of Music. Dr. Zhivago. Almost anything with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood.
  • My favorite quotes
    1. The man who says the least usually feels the most.
    2. There is no shame in failing. The shame is in not trying.
    3. It is far better to remain quiet and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
    4. It is not WHAT you say, rather THAT you say! (I thought that up when my mother died and my dear Jehovah;s Witness father was pretty well ignored by his congregation, with the excuse, "We just don't know WHAT to say.")
