Looking for guidance on how to approach publication, I found the works of EK Jonathan being discussed here. I know several months ago this question was asked...but I don't remember an answer was ever given. I tried to search on the forum but couldn't find the thread. The question is: Does the branch receive the donation when you click on the PopUp that asks if you want to donate to The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York when you are about to place an order on Amazon. If you say Yes, it goes to Smile.Amazon URL. So I called the branch today to ask before I placed an order. I've always chosen not to donate because I wasn't sure who it was going to. But...the brother said they DO receive a donation through Amazon. It is .05% from all orders when you go through the "smile.amazon" when you place an order. I'm so glad I know that little tidbit...

When you buy anything at Amazon.com use the http://smile.amazon.com portal and select "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" as your charity of choice. Everytime you purchase something, they will donate money to the organization. I'm a prime member as well but don't think that is required. Please let me know if it is and I will edit this. I'm hoping they follow through, but it seems legit so far. I just purchased a rice cooker and got the confirmation.... Amazon will make a donation to Christian Congregation Of Jehovahs Witnesses. To support this charitable organization, always shop at smile.amazon.com. ...ps.. nope I don't work for Amazon, just found another way to help the organization and wanted to share. -
Before I start: a separate thread for introducing books would be cool ;-) Guess what? I finished another project. This time a 300+ page novel about... The Rise & Fall of Babylon the Great! How did I come up with that? I was curious as to -how- and why Babylon would be attacked (of course: the why is answered in Revelation ;-) Sadly, I don't have too much time on my hands and I have been scribbling away for more than a year. Family, spiritual activities...oh yeah, I squeeze in a full time job in there, too ;-) It is a modern day thriller about 2 agents contracted by a secret consortium to find out things modern religious institutions don't want found out...and what that consortium has in mind to get its hands on the money and power held by that ancient institution. I actually wanted this book out ASAP (but not in a hurried sense), because it is crazy how politicians and critics are criticizing religion ever more strongly and openly. It won't be long until "Peace and Security" is announced. The only thing is: how to get attention to such a specific genre and audience?
