  1. Well, shows you what I know. Amazon usually says 'available in the next 72 hours, when you click 'Publish'. This time around, it took less than two. ************** ************** Written Beforehand The First Book in the 'Between The Verses' Series Writing the Paradise books was a lot of fun, and a great form of personal study. But with that series concluding more than a thousand years in the future, I wanted a fresh start. So instead of looking further forward, I started over completely with Genesis. As with the Paradise Novels, there will be several points where the information we have is not sufficient to base a book on. Every significant point were I have relied on my own speculation will be marked, and my reasoning given. It's entirely possible that i am wrong, but the reader will have to make their own judgements in those areas. For this series, I wanted to tell the stories of people who were present for Biblical Events, but not directly involved in them. Scripture has a close record of the men and women who were central to these events, even recording the words they said. But there are a hundred ways to learn more about them. So instead, I decided to look to the people affected, who are rarely, if ever, mentioned. This gave me a unique viewpoint, because we're reminded constantly to visualise what we're reading about during Bible Studies, and apply the lessons learned to our day. So each book in this new series will also have a modern day story, comparing those times with our own. As a result, there's really no way to know how closely the books will tie together, or how many there will be. I'll make an effort to keep them chronological, and while there may be shorter novellas in between the 'main' books, each one will be intended as a standalone story. Because I don't know how many books there will be, I'll likely be posting them all in this one thread, so that I don't take up the whole forum with Stickied Threads. The goal of these books is not to make a profit, but to get the widest readership, so each novel will be available on the series blog, chapter by chapter, and as a free download. But if you'd like to support the Author, there are two things you can do: 1) You can share the books with people who might be interested. 2) You can purchase the book on Amazon. In the meantime, for those who are unsure about starting a new series, here's a free preview of the first five chapters. Chapter One: Eight Cents Chapter Two: Predictions Chapter Three: Denial Chapter Four: First Steps Chapter Five: The Clear Choice Enjoy.
  2. In The Beginning... (Years 0 - 200) Everyone who comes to know Jehovah God gets there in a different way. Everyone who lets the Truth reach their heart, has a path of their own, unique in challenges and triumphs. Alec Ducard was blessed to be on the right side of a debate that has raged since the first words of the bible began. The Day came when he was far younger and less prepared for it than he would have liked. But he did not make that journey alone. Rachel Bridger was present to bear witness to the most pivotal events in the history of the world, and never imagined just how hard it would be to hold fast to a Truth she had only just begun to know... or what the future would truly have to offer. Beckah Hedley had been praying for Paradise for years, hoping to see the day when she'd be able to walk again. But what came with that Miracle was more exciting and challenging than she had expected. Three lives grow tightly connected in brotherhood and love, as the prospect of living forever in a Paradise Earth, under the Kingdom of Heaven becomes a reality, at last. *** I never intended to write a sequel, and especially not a prequel. I had specifically skipped over the first two hundred years when I wrote 'Just See Yourself' so that I could get the 'transition' out of the way and focus on the New World itself. So naturally, I went and wrote a book dedicated to those first two centuries. The Download Page isn't updated with this yet, but it will be. I'm still searching the last few chapters for typos. Obviously, if anyone here spots a typo or a mistake, let me know here; and I'll fix them before it gets near Amazon. Fixing a typo in a paper book is a considerably more difficult process than fixing one in a blog post. The blog will be updated with a chapter or two, once or twice a week, depending on how the publishing and 'download' phase works out. The Release Day has four chapters. Consider it a movie length pilot episode. I hope you all enjoy it. Prologue: Rachel Chapter One: The Day Before Chapter Two: The Day Chapter Three: The Day After
  3. "Just See Yourself..." by Thomas Walker A Story Thousands of Years In The Making! For two thousand years, followers of Jehovah God and his son, Jesus Christ have been waiting for The Day! The Bible promises wonderful things that would take place during the Thousand Year Reign of the Messianic King. But so many people never heard that message, or never believed it could be true, when confronted with a cold and wicked world. What future for them? Hugh Alman was a pilot during the Second World War. With no idea of what the future held, he has awoken in a long promised Paradise Earth; where nobody would ever grow old, grow sick, or die. But with Eternal Life comes challenges, and rewards... and most importantly, choices. *** My whole life, we've been told to 'keep our eyes on the prize'. This book began as a form of personal study, and grew to a full sized novel. It's been one of the more rewarding efforts of my life, and I've received some very positive feedback from others in my cong. I have put the whole book up for free, chapter by chapter, on a dedicated blog. And after enough people asked for a hardcopy version, I also put it up on Amazon, as cheap as I could make it. (It was the only way to handle printing and shipping costs.) As it happens, that's what lead me to JWTalk. Looking for guidance on how to approach publication, I found the works of EK Jonathan being discussed here. Writing this book took me in a lot of directions I didn't expect, and I hope you will all enjoy it.
  4. http://ekjonathan.blogspot.com Here's the cover: Sooo....what did Brother Peter REALLY find between Bo's mattress? Whay say you?
  5. http://ekjonathan.blogspot.com I recently visited E.K. Jonathan's blog looking for any updates regarding his next installment entitled "Stay". Here's a tidbit: This is great news indeed! Since "Flee" was released last September, I've been sitting on "the edge of my seat" and my derrière is getting numb! Come on April!
  6. A new book from our brother, available now. Not about life in Paradise, or during the GT, but from the perspective of a JW teenager in the early 2000's. You can get the book on Amazon, or for free on his blog as he publishes chapter every monday, as usual. https://thebloomofyouthnovel.blogspot.com/ I'm curious about this one.
  7. Before I start: a separate thread for introducing books would be cool ;-) Guess what? I finished another project. This time a 300+ page novel about... The Rise & Fall of Babylon the Great! How did I come up with that? I was curious as to -how- and why Babylon would be attacked (of course: the why is answered in Revelation ;-) Sadly, I don't have too much time on my hands and I have been scribbling away for more than a year. Family, spiritual activities...oh yeah, I squeeze in a full time job in there, too ;-) It is a modern day thriller about 2 agents contracted by a secret consortium to find out things modern religious institutions don't want found out...and what that consortium has in mind to get its hands on the money and power held by that ancient institution. I actually wanted this book out ASAP (but not in a hurried sense), because it is crazy how politicians and critics are criticizing religion ever more strongly and openly. It won't be long until "Peace and Security" is announced. I dare say this book is a cool, fast paced novel that will grip from beginning to end ;-) Paperback version: http://amzn.com/147910289X Kindle version: http://amzn.com/B00J3BBCUY Enjoy, David And please: understand that yes, in a way this could be considered "marketing". The only thing is: how to get attention to such a specific genre and audience? It's an announcement: if such posts are in general not wanted, then I will refrain in future and only post on day to day subjects, and sadly not my hobbies. (Though I would love to see more books, music and so on by others, personally). This is my hobby and just wanted to spread the word. No pun intended.
