  1. Anyone using the territory feature in NW Scheduler? Just want to see if the work transitioning from territory helper is worth it. We would have to upload maps etc. Any observations from those who have been using it would be appreciated. tia
  2. Being in the Android world with phone and tablet I am using for my ministry the most excellent app Ministry Assistant. Since we now use in the congregation territory maps created using the program Territory Assistant they can be easily imported into the Ministry Assistant app by just using their respective QR code. After trying this past week the features now available in Ministry Assistant because now I have a imported territory, I came to the conclusion this is a must have for any pioneer and publishers that are determined to work any territory efficiently. (Sort of like the IBM PC's first killer app Lotus 1-2-3) What I really appreciated in Ministry Assistant is that you can quickly send a copy of the map via SMS/MMS to others in the group. It is very easy to enter Do Not Calls as well as Not at Homes and you have at a glance what has been covered in the territory. Bottom line just the thinking that went into the usage of this app shows inside into what pioneers ask for in a field service app. The Android crowd in the congregation is elated, but the iOS crowd is not very happy and so I am looking for some suggestions of an app in the iOS world that will handle territories besides just having a map available. I know of Service Planner and one person in the congregation has the app and I will explore it's ability to handle the working of territories. Listed in the iTunes store is the app Ministry (Field Service Assistant) which could possibly handle territories judging by the screenshots. Perhaps someone could post their experience with the app in this thread. The creator of Ministry Assistant will not port it to iOS because of the tremendous work involved. So besides getting an Android phone for the ministry is there anything in the Apple world that handles territories in a decent manner.
  3. I started using Territory Helper with a congregation that did not exist and drew a territory and populated it with some houses and generally looked around. In the Publishers field, I inputted some of the brothers, including the Service Overseer's name and email. When I went back and changed the congregation to our information, I noticed a "(1)" in the Congregation Number, there is no other congregation that uses the hall so I changed the number to "0". Then I began to populate the Publisher's information including email address. That is when the error msg popped up, "this email is in use by another congregation". I navigated to the Advanced tab and there are two options, "Delete all Locations", or "Delete Congregation". Choosing either one does not provide a multiple choice or any additional congregations. I need to get our Service Overseer's email address working, although we are using a different email address currently, it is not one he checks frequently. Any attempt to contact TH support has thus far gone without a response, of any kind. Thanks, Sam
  4. We recently started using Territory Helper. We drew all the maps and began to fill in the house locations and numbers. Everything was going along grand until I realized that the kingdom hall was not where it was supposed to be on the map. When I went to check the address, it had the correct address. I edited the field to re-type the address. The address did not show up in the drop down window of suggested addresses. I saved the changes and the site acknowledged the save. When I went back to the territory page, it was still not in the correct location. I changed the map view to "Here" which shows the house numbers and navigated to the location of our hall. All the surrounding addresses were populated but not the kingdom hall. We have been at that location for decades, I don't believe that is the issue. I have tried to contact TH support and have thus far been unsuccessful in getting any kind of response. Thanks for any help, Sam
  5. We recently started using Territory Helper and have drawn some territories, including business territories. There is a feature of the territory map that can be chosen to "hide" the territory when viewing the territory map. This option however, reverts the map to full territory viewing when the publisher navigates away and then returns to the page. Some territories need special training and authorization from the service committee, so these cannot be readily available to every publisher. Is there a way to permanently hide some territories on the Admin level?
  6. I wonder who names the streets in our territories. This afternoon we were on Black Joe Road. I'm guessing a well known blacksmith once lived there. I remember a Street in new England named Rattlesnake Gutter Road. I also recall a street in Maine called Tar Kiln Hill Road. Been on any interesting Streets lately?
