  1. SEA region https://jomkeseoul.blogspot.com/2015/10/pisang-kaki-korea.html I got mine at the night market in my housing estate. 7 pieces for a little more than USD 2. Seedless. Is it ok to eat with the skins on?
  2. I couldn't find a separate post on specific tips when traveling, so here is where we can offer our suggestions and tips to help others. Japan I'm thinking of traveling to Japan next winter (Jehovah willing), and have been doing some research on the net. Since I am from a warmish climate, I've never experienced snow. But a trip to Japan in winter would not be complete without a trip to the Snow Monkeys at the very least. I also like the idea of seeing nature north of Sendai. All up around 10 days is all I can spare, so I'm basing myself in Tokyo with day trips to Nagano/Jigokudani and Hakone, then north to Naruko Onsen in Miyagi Prefecture. Anyone who has traveled to Japan in winter care to share their tips please? Or any brothers/sisters living in Japan can recommend what it's like to live in Tokyo in winter, so I have an idea what to pack? Arigato
  3. Found this article quite amusing, and then a bit sad as well. All she wanted to do is travel, but she couldn't afford to, being a humble farmer's daughter in Kenya. So she photoshopped herself in some other people's travel pics, and posted them to fb. Ok, so she isn't very good at photoshopping.... There is a happy ending : http://www.smh.com.au/technology/web-culture/woman-photoshops-herself-into-other-peoples-holiday-snaps-20160328-gnsmsq.html
  4. Woo Hoo! I'm not sure if anybody think I will go to the North! But, in case there is, I announce that I'm gonna travel to SOUTH Korea few months ahead! I feel so excited as I will go there with my besties. It was hard to match our schedule, but yes, we can make it! Yay! Anybody went there and would like to give me some suggestions? One of the place we must visit is The Bethel for sure! Again! Woo Hoo!
  5. I saw someone post a topic "where you went" and thought about why not do the opposite and see if a meeting can be even organized? Last December, I planned a trip to Chicago, did not know anyone there...Would have been nice to meet someone from here! Fortunately, after going out in service there was an opportunity to get to know one of the sister over a quick meal and at the next meeting made friends with the local congregation. Things would have been even nicer probably if plans could have been made ahead. So thought we could post: - the date you plan on travelling - the place (city/country) you plan to go to - the attractions or place of interests you plan to see If the place is around you then may be you have suggestions about what to do/where to go or not to go, your meeting times so meeting in person in a safe place is possible and so on... Now, I am not sure if this is an OK thing to do?
