We used to see a lot of that when boating in Puget Sound. Flush the head (Toilet to land lubbers) and all these tiny starbursts would go sparkling down the drain.

That is more or less what they did say - I just didn't know how to phrase it.  Thanks, Brother.

I am currently enjoying Riverdance:
I'm hoping perfection will allow  me to do this. Riverdance.gif.c1c4048970700c2f7de4a193c3ba7f89.gif59f2324328319_LaughingCrackup.gif.cbc7bf8316d0cdb1d13857a222387b38.gif

 I love Irish step dance myself. The later variations (shown in the video, the upright style) and flat foot style, much more akin to tap. There is also Sean Nos, an old school Irish dance style, possibly the oldest of European percussive dance styles.

I love percussive dance in general, my favourite tap style is American rhythmic.  I learned a bit, but I need practice (dont have the room or the privacy, as I'd be annoying the neighbors lol). Most people think of Broadway style tap if you call yourself a tap dancer, not many know of the old school rhythmic style of the 1920s-40s. Mostly from black performers as they developed it when they had their instruments took from them in slavery. They combined African rythm with Irish step flat footing (since many Irish founded America along with Brits).

A great video here of upright Irish step dance vs American rhythmic;

And then this video on Irish flat footing to compare (It was done on a Christmas show, so don't mind the title, the dance & music it's self is not a Christmas theme.)

I'd say my favourite tap dancers of all time are the Nicholas Brothers.
