Media now exposing Fukushima cover-up: “So many terrible things are not being reported” — Official radiation figures cannot be trusted — Regulator suspects Tepco giving false data — Problems much worse than officials claim.

BBC News, Aug 22, 2013: The “worsening situation” at Fukushima has prompted a former Japanese ambassador to Switzerland to call for the withdrawal of Tokyo’s Olympic bid. In a letter to the UN secretary general, Mitsuhei Murata says the official radiation figures published by Tepco cannot be trusted. He says he is extremely worried about the lack of a sense of crisis in Japan and abroad.

Time, Aug 22, 2013: “It’s time we faced the danger, ” said Takashi Hirose, a writer shocked by the under-reported radiation levels he found on recent trip into the evacuation zone. “So many terrible things are not being reported in the news.”

BBC News, Aug 22, 2013: Fukushima leak is ‘much worse than we were led to believe’ [...] A nuclear expert [Mycle Schneider] has told the BBC that he believes the current water leaks at Fukushima are much worse than the authorities have stated. [...] He says water is leaking out all over the site and there are no accurate figures for radiation levels. [...] some nuclear experts are concerned that the problem is a good deal worse than either Tepco or the Japanese government are willing to admit.

Irish Times, Aug 21, 2013: Cover-up [....] Many experts believe Japan’s government continues to underestimate the cost and complexity of the decommissioning, and that Tepco has been systematically covering up problems.

Bloomberg, Aug 21, 2013: At least one commissioner at the regulator questioned the accuracy of data being released by operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. (9501) and whether the incident had been fully reported. […] “This INES evaluation is based on the 300-ton leak, but I really wonder if we can trust data provided by Tepco,” Toyoshi Fuketa, a commissioner at the NRA, said at a meeting in Tokyo today. “I really wonder if we should judge based on Tepco’s data.”

Emergency at U.S. Nuclear Site: Gov’t activated alert, workers ordered to ‘take-cover’ — Several hospitalized — Ex-employee: “Stuff goes on all the time we don’t know about, it’s scary” — Governor: No ‘immediate’ health hazard (VIDEO).

KONA Radio, Aug 22, 2013: An emergency operations alert was activated at Hanford overnight after radiation was detected during a transfer from a waste tank. KONA-AM radio reports the Department of Energy activated the alert around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday near tank C-101.

CBS Seattle, Aug 22, 2013: Radiation was detected at a tank farm at the nation’s most contaminated nuclear site Wednesday night, causing an alert to be issued and work to be stopped, KING 5 reported.

Oregon Public Broadcasting, Aug 22, 2013: Areas of Hanford were under a “take-cover” status. Special crews surveyed the areas outside of the C-Far

Tri-City Herald, Aug 22, 2013: Workers in the 200 East Area of central Hanford, which includes the C Tank Farm, and the nearby vitrification plant under construction remained under the take-cover order.

KEPR TV, Aug 22, 2013: “Stuff goes on out there all the time that we don’t know about, but it’s scary,” said [former Hanford worker Chris] Anderson. [...] A handful of areas were placed in “take-over” condition, where it’s all hands on deck [...] A rep from the Department of Energy doesn’t remember an alert being issued in at least the past seven years. [...] Four employees at the tank farm went to the hospital to be checked for radiation exposure. [...] “As long as this kind of thing is going on, I won’t be living here, we all won’t be living here,” said Anderson.

DoE Press Release, Aug 22, 2013: Approximately 80% of the waste from single-shell tank C-101 has been retrieved [...] leaving just a few inches of difficult-to-retrieve hard heel waste. [...] dose rate readings were 150 mr/hr [1,500 microsieverts/hr] open window, and only 6 mr/hr closed window. [...] the swipe indicated a radioactive contamination reading of 180,000 disintegrations per minute. [...] The four workers that were evacuated were sent to Kadlec Hospital in Richland, WA for additional monitoring as a precaution. [...]

KFLD Radio, Aug 22, 2013: The DOE says the leak may have occurred near what is called sluice box [...] The equipment is used to spray contaminated liquid onto the waste so it’s easier to remove. By using already contaminated liquid instead of water, less new waste is created.

FOX 13, Aug 22, 2013 – Washington Governor Jay Inslee: Fortunately it doesn’t appear that there’s any immediate human health concerns [...] doesn’t appear there is any immediate human hazard.

Musky only for this website did I know about this disaster.

It's like we aren't supposed to know. I often Will watch World News. Its more informative.

Just a thought.

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."

I wonder why the "mainstream" news agencies never pick up the same stories as the tabloid sources? :S

I'm sure they actually know about what's really happening but failing to report it? Your guess is as good as mine.

Although personally, I know that GE and other companies that create parts and build reactors and reactor parts are big funders of most news media outlets so, I'm sure that though crosses their minds at the very least...

Eventually they will start talking about it as it picks up steam on things like Facebook and other alternative news sources.

I don't know if you like to read but here's an interesting book, case study actually, it's fascinating: Trust me I'm lying - if you don't have time try audible, it's not that long and very interesting - how the media really works and how to control it as this person did.

People don't know how to handle nuclear waste. I think Jehovah is going use ant-matter to get rid of it durin or after Armegeddon.

Ants are a good idea, they get in my microwave and I have noticed that it doesn't kill them. I don't know how they will do with nuclear waste. LOL

We cannot incite if we are not in sight.___Heb.10:24,25

Your comment reminded me of something I read many years ago which I found amazing and wonderful .........

*** g99 1/22 p. 31 Plants Versus Pollution ***

REMOVING pollutants from contaminated soil and water is a lengthy, expensive, and often difficult business. However, ordinary plants are proving capable of doing the job all by themselves.

Scientists are considering using the common pondweed and periwinkle to clean up old munition sites and reclaim the land. In experiments, sterilized parrot feather and periwinkle extracted TNT so well that within a week no trace of explosive remained in the plants’ tissues, nor did burning them produce an explosion! Other researchers discovered that cells and extracts of the common sugar beet could absorb and degrade nitroglycerin.

What about water heavily contaminated with radioactivity? Sunflowers seem to be helpful. Six-week-old sunflowers were used to tackle contaminated wastewater in an abandoned uranium factory in Ohio, U.S.A. The result? Uranium contamination was reduced from an average of 200 micrograms per liter to below the safety limit of 20 micrograms per liter. Other tests, at the Chernobyl reactor, near Kiev, showed that sunflowers soaked up 95 percent of the radioactive strontium and cesium within ten days!

Farmers may soon be using the yellow iris and the bulrush in their efforts to avoid polluting watercourses with pesticides and herbicides. This decontamination process is accomplished primarily by microbes in the plants’ root systems that break down the contaminants and clean the water.

The above examples illustrate the marvelous capacity of the earth to cleanse itself.

During the Lord’s day, there has also been a disgusting froglike visitation, though from a different source. It consists of Satan’s “unclean inspired expressions,” clearly symbolizing propaganda designed to maneuver all human rulers, “kings,” into opposition to Jehovah God. Satan thus makes sure that they are not swayed by the pouring out of the bowls of God’s anger but are firmly on Satan’s side when “the war of the great day of God the Almighty” begins.
26 The propaganda comes from “the dragon” (Satan) and “the wild beast”

Here's another interesting video to this question...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOygpfEl7nE

As far as Fukushima is concerned alternative media, experts not on payrolls and some individual (often retired) scientists have been screaming their heads off from the go get.that we have been sitting on the world's worst nuclear disaster barr none.  Simply put the world (at least the Northern Hemispher) has already been contaminated and everybody (especially those on the West coast of America and Canada) is going to suffer increased cancers and many other adverse effects.  Fukushima and the Deepwater Oil Spill are two of the most Under reported environmental disasters ever (perhaps with the exception of the oïl spilling out and poisoning the Nigérians).

I don't mean to be alarmist but the system is doomed ... flee to God's kingdom !

On a side note I was worried about the brothers and sisters in Fukushima (I don't know if there are any Japanese friends here on jwt ... anyway I asked a sister in my congregation that is Japanese and she said the friends  were advised by the branch to evacuate and that is what most of them have done.  They have been well looked after and have been helped thorugh networking to get homes and jobs.  Some go back to the region to preach but most are out.  I was very relieved although that's not official so don't quote me on that.

Hopefully, Jehovah will bring to ruin those ruining the earth before too many more have to suffer.  Otherwise, we can include in our prayers that those effected receive Jehovah's spirit in order to endure.  And thank goodness for Jehovah's gift of resurrection and restoration.

"White spots" on Fukushima cattle ignored by Japanese officials

Two years ago, Channel NewsAsia obtained footage from within Japan's 20 km Fukushima exclusion zone featuring a farmer who defied government orders to exterminate his cattle. While residents are now being allowed to return, nothing has been said about the changes now seen on the cattle.

JAPAN: The 1986 Chernobyl nuclear meltdown taught the world that long-term radiation exposure can cause DNA and immunological changes in living organisms.

Following the Fukushima nuclear disaster, farmer Masami Yoshizawa kept his cattle alive to monitor changes due to prolonged radiation exposure. Now, mysterious white spots on the fur and skin are appearing on 10 of his Japanese black cattle.

As revelations about continued problems around the nuclear plant emerged, it should be a major concern for Japan's agricultural business. But so far, nothing has been said about the issue.

Kazuo Suzuki, the Ministry of Agriculture official responsible for livestock within the 20 kilometre exclusion zone, was informed of the white spots by Mr Yoshizawa when he visited Mr Yoshizawa's farm in December 2012.

However, when he was asked about the visit, he claimed that he did not remember seeing the white-spotted cows and explained that the cows should be tested by the Livestock Hygiene Service Centre and not the Ministry of Agriculture.

Local farmers however disagree, saying they were told by the Fukushima prefectural officials that all such investigations fall under the Ministry of Agriculture's authority.

There is a lot at stake and to admit the existence of these cows would only invite greater attention to the problem, with a possibly devastating effect on the trade of Fukushima livestock.

When it comes to radiated land, air and sea, drawing a 20km exclusion line is as arbitrary as having a smoking section on an aeroplane. But in 2012, despite the nuclear disaster in the prefecture, beef from Fukushima was still the fifth most traded and shipped at Japan's biggest beef market in Tokyo.

Toshimitsu Matsubara, a veterinarian with experience in the Chernobyl nuclear reactor meltdown, is eager to have the animals tested.

Dr Matsubara, who is also the president of the BBB Beef Association, said: "What is happening now {with these cows} is extremely important. Japan has to think of what to do with this problem."

Instead, the government continues to ease restrictions around Fukushima while serious problems continue to be exposed. The recent threat level from 300 tones of toxic waste that leaked into the Pacific Ocean was raised from level 1 to a level 3 -- a "serious incident".

As the human population warily returns to Namie town, no one knows for certain what is happening to the cows on Mr Yoshizawa's Pasture of Hope. And Fukushima's agriculture officials, apparently, prefer not to find out.

Scary stuff ..

The world Satan controls for the moment is a cesspool in every way. Morals animalistic and greed, inhumanity and ruination of the earth. Soon Jehovah will make all this a distant memory!

Let's see, our seafood?  Hummmm... I guess my next shrimp meal will glow in the dark. have 50,000 extra legs, a billion eye balls, the shell will be as hard as a fossil.   Could I say that all of the sea life and mammal in that area, and eventually what flows in he ocean currents towards every corner of this planet will become extinct?  Hummmmm....   and he will bring to ruin those ruining the earth... yeah, I think this goes with this huge issue in Japan at this time.  Strange, this isn't in the news that often.  I didn't read anymore about it on CNN, NBC, FOX, The Weather Channel, BBC, Daily Mail, The Telegraph, La Repubblica, and so and so on news stories this past week.
