This is intended to be in a bit of a light tone, but serious at the same time:

It is a question about how you like to hang rolls of toilet paper - Are you an OVER or UNDER person?

As a janitor, as many are, I find that most of my people like it when it's OVER, so they can find the end.

At home it's easier to find the end when it's over the top

Please, back up your vote with some witticisms

With this topic there should be plenty of comments to allow the thread to live a long life and perhaps go over-the-top (or under-the-bottom if you are an "under" person)

Have some fun with this one.

I'm an OVER person but we have a cat that thinks the TP roll is a toy and unrolls the whole thing, so I hang it UNDER so the cat will wind up instead of unroll...

We also have a cat but she uses her own box and leaves mine alone...

We have a holder that has only one side bracket. You can slide the roll on either way and that ended any discussion about the 'proper' way to hang it. In the back bathroom that is currently 'under construction ' there is no hanger, we just set a couple of rolls on the tank...works for us.

So you solve the horizontal over or under issue by going vertical?

I live the word "cheeky" and I find it extremely difficult to say without putting an English accent on it :lol1:

Over, because there really is no other way! :)

Most definitely under, you get a smooth tear off because you are using the roll as an anchor.

Same principal with paper towels, even tho our towel holder is mounted vertically the loose end comes from behind so you can use the roll as an anchor to pull against.

When God created toilet paper he intended that we should leave a small portion hanging vertically as per your illustration, either under or over, however since we are imperfect and usually fail to leave a tale to grasp, it behooves us in our imperfection to be an 'over' person so that our 'followers' can find the end.

"And that is all i have to say about that."

It doesn't matter what our preference is now, after Armageddon we wont have the technology to make toilet paper and we'll be using fig leaves or corn cobs...

I don't consider it important which way it is hung. I had a grandson who loved to flip the roll with his hand and roll off toilet tissue so when my wife and I were living with my daughter it was always "under."

I never noticed but we don't have the hanger thing to hang it on, so the roll just sits on the tank. Life's easier that way. We also don't have a toilet seat, either. But I'm thinking to get one because it's a chilly place to sit in the winter.

Ever used an outhouse. Now those are cold.
