Poems and poetry.....

Recommended Posts

I did this several years ago for a sister in our hall that was in and out of the hospital frequently. Besides Dyalysis she had several operations, and regularly was able to witness to doctors, nurses and others. I tried to do a little Dr. Seuss-like rhyming.

The Glo

There is a young woman, her nickname is Glo,
And that's what she does, from her head to her toe!

She's always a'thinkin' and praising her God,
Tho many in this world think that is quite odd!

"Who cares what they think?"
She says quite out loud,.."New World's on the brink,
and they're not allowed,

to stop the Good News, to stifle the Name,
Of the Most Awesome High One,
of Magnificent Fame!"

"Jehovah is God" she tells them once in,
"He's not going to let man forever just sin,
do bad and destroy the world that we're in."

Glo lets them all know of the paradise soon,
and those that listen are over the moon, with

Joy at the Hope that she has to share,
for Brothers and Sisters, and everyone there,

and Mothers and Fathers, Grandparents, Whooo Hoo!,
She hopes in her God, and shouldn't you too?

No sickness, No sorrow, No Death, No More Pain,
The Dead resurrected...we'll see the again,
who we've missed for so long and the Grave has held claim.

No ocean pollution, No air that is Black,
Food you can eat just growing out back,

Now you've just heard what Gloria knows, and
why she's aglow from her head to her toes,
Her love is to share it wherever she goes!

Beautiful.
Pls continue writing more.

I have always admired" eyes. "
Can you write a beautiful poem on eyes Pls.

So here I am going, the mind is ablaze,

a poem of eyes...one of these days.

But did I understand aright?

or was it of the Ayes?

these big ole glasses play sometimes tricks,

on my little old eyes.

The "Ayes" mean Yes, now that is true,

but Eyes can do so too!

They tell our soul when they look out,,

don't do that, or do!

That Ember glow, from my brides eye,

says all I need to know,,

and with a wink, and little smile,

I whisper close, Aye, Aye! Doh!,

so so just a little fun to jot,

for and Aye and an Eye,

My brother Kumar I'll be serious soon,

but for now Bye, Bye!

The Big pot

The big pot
It ever tends to be hot
And asks for lot.

As I look around ,
For this big ground
There is nothing around.

But the pot is more hotter
And its not going to be softer.

So I start on the dangerous mission
For I know, it won't listen.
And I can see the vision
It's going to be like this all season.

Man ,what am I to do
For I can't even move
Unless I fill it with few

But the pot is greedy
It won't respect the needy.

Lo and behold
I find a pack of snacks.

Though they fill me
Though they refresh me
But they too
Kill me.

Oh God
I am tired
Filling this pot.
I wish to live not.

Apart from this
No solution I have got.

But as I wait for your wisdom
Which many seek seldom

I am delighted
To find a path

Which comes and lands
Directly in my lap.

O My Dear God Jehovah
Every moment
Every blink
You just can't stop
Taking care of me.

Not only you are there to guide,
You are always on my side.

Always.

Hence not only my big pot is chilled
But you saved me from being killed.

( dedicated to the ulcer and acidity my stomach is going thru.)

The Big pot is my stomach

She was like Sunrise

"When I did not know you, it was quiet. Peaceful, but pleasent, like watching a calm sea at night.

Then came the sunrise, and a morning breeze, which carried with it a thousand smiles across the ocean waters into my grasp.

The morning went by, the warmth of your sun arose, until it was mid-day. And I basked in the comfort your light enveloped me with. Your face was revealed to me like bright rays, and I was dazzled.

I caught fire, before the sun slowly began to set again. I shown you where I had became sore, but your light then fell behind the horizon.

Now lie here cold. "

Your Face is a Beautiful Sword

"Your face is the tip of beautiful sword. Shapely, smooth and wonderfully encrusted with jewels, but plunges into a man's heart. As such is the pleasure and pain now of looking upon you.

How foolish I was when I removed my armour, and dropped my shield.

Left laying down, all I feel is that I must sleep. Eventually my bleeding shall stop, but I ask, will that be before or after I die?

Love, it makes a fine friend, but a terrible enemy. "
