I got chills reading today's daily text (Mandi already mentioned this) 

When  we are asked to write the letter  we get the daily text  about ........ (read it yourself please) 

The daily text was prepared months ago .... 

Coincedence? Don't think so.

I have decided to bring attention to their labeling us as extremist, what that word means, and how being a Jehovah's Witness actually causes us to live completely opposite of such people!

Brother Greg, I thought my post was clear enough but just since you asked; I understand that we have our instructions,  I am perfectly clear about that. .

 

My question is in the latter section of my post, where I asked about the exclamation mark.

 

I was asking if someone that lived there locally,  and knows for certain how that mark is used when addressing officials, if they could let us know. We don't want our letters discarded over punctuation errors. 

 

I  also added,  as a second source if nobody answered my question,  that Branch could be asked about the exclamation mark and it's proper usage in this case..

 

I feel that,  with the added information from our spiritual family that lives in that area,  that was posted after my post, my question has been answered. .

 

I  hope that adequately addresses any confusion or misunderstanding  that you may have had. ..

I'm so excited that we are all joining together to help our brothers and sisters in Russia. Jehovah knows how to deliver his people!! 

 

This may get on the news, suddenly MILLIONS of letters being sent to Russia. This will get the publics attention. Jehovah knows exactly what to do to help our brothers and sisters. I have full faith and confidence in him. 

 

And I don't want to speculate but I can understand when people mention Russia could be the king of the north, we'll just have to wait and see, I don't think we'll need to wait much longer to find out. There's definitely a change in the air, I'm sure all of us feel it. The Great Tribulation is so close at hand. I'm very much looking forward to our convention, "Don't Give Up!" How timely it will be...

Don't know ... only quoting the instructions from the FDS ... Jehovah has it all in hand.

If they discard our letters I'm sure it won't be over  a punctuation error, I've already seen on instagram children writing letters, even one little one drawing a globe with people all around it holding hands.

 

It's not about whether we get things perfect, because if all 8,000,000 of us are encouraged to write, we have the deaf communities, we have those who have reading/writing disabilities writing to Mr. Putin, it's a bout the mass message he will get I am thinking.

 

If we stick to the instructions to the best of our ability, then Jehovah will take care of the rest.

And also, those who are blind writing to him, will he be able to read braille? No probably not ... but everything we do is sweet smelling incense to Jehovah, and the variation of locations, circumstances including those of limited abilities is what will make a profound impression.

Esteemed Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,

Having become aware of recent developments regarding the Jehovah’s Witnesses in your country I feel moved to write to respectfully appeal that you do that which is in your legal power to rectify measures that would impede the free exercise of religion this group in your country.

As you may be aware,  on March 15th, 2017 the Ministry of Justice in Russia filed a claim with the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, seeking to delcare the religious organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses « extremist » and to ban all related activity for this group.  As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses myself, I can testify without reservation that we are taught never to resort to violence under any circumstances and to be kind and respectful to all people including those that do not share our faith.  Indeed, for the 35 years I have been associated with the various groups of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the United Kindom and now in my chosen country of residence, France, I have personally benefited from instructions to be more mild tempered and patient with those around me.  We are never  taught to  employ any actions whatsoever  that could be classified as « extreme » with the exception of being « extremely kind » and « extremely loving » to their neighbours.

Our meetings, which are open to the public, are places where we pray, sing spiritual songs and study the holy bible and this study often includes features with practical bible based  instructions for young people, family heads, wives, and older folk  to respect the governmental authorities,  obey the law and be clean, honest members of our community.   In view of the above I am writing to appeal to you, Mr President,  to do all you can to repeal these measures.

I am aware the laws of the Russian government guarantees freedom of worship for its citizens and feel confident that such peace loving people  as the JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES will be considered worthy of the protections this law affords.   My prayer remains that a wise decision in this regard will be made.

I have been working on ours. My husband and I own several business too so we are sending individual letter and also letters with our business letterhead.

Good job Sister Sandy,  business letterhead may make a greater impression on them..

 

Jehovah has it covered,  no matter what it is, and you can bet your life on that...

I wanted to tell you that I thought you did a very good job with your letter! It was very respectful, courteous, and had well-chosen words. But by far the best part of your letter and probably the best sentence I have read for our letter was this one:

I literally laughed out loud when I read that! Wonderfully written
