Felt like 104 with 95-100% humidity today. The humidity here is very high and that’s what makes it so brutal. Also, the cold here during the winter is bone chilling because of the humidity. Many people from up north where the temperature gets lower says our winters are worse because of the humidity.

Never thought I’d see the day when it’s 104 degrees at 8:35 pm. It’s still supposed to be 100 degrees at 9:00 pm. Crazy!

I know about global warming but could all the continual fires in the West and Midwest be contributing in any way to the rise in temperature by heating up the atmosphere in those areas ...

When it warms up inland we, at the pacific ocean in Washington state, gets socked in with fog. It's been about 64-68 and horridly humid during the day and 50's at night. I'd love to have some heat, some summer. All this fog and cool weather is irritating. Garden is slow growing because of it😡

Makes service pleasant but my goodness this is supposed to be summer! When I move from here I don't want to see this ocean again for 200 years!

Yeah.  It got kind a' wild for awhile.  The power went out for a moment or two.  Lots of wind, lightning

and thunder boomers, but barely any rain.  Moved through too fast to hit the rain gauge, I guess. ^_^

Still lots of flashes to the south of us.  Very pretty to watch.  :D

Scanner chatter reporting trees down on the power lines.  We will probably get called out.

  • 1 month later...

Today we have very high winds.

Trees on power lines, county road commission running from one road to another to check on trees down, trees on power lines, lines arcing.

Weather Underground says 9 mph winds with 26 mph gusts.

Trees knocking down power lines.

Could continue to be mighty in’eresting the rest of the day.

Power is out in Trenary, but not here.  They have Wisconsin Electric.

We have REA Alger Delta.

Great! I was wondering about you cause I heard on the scanner that one of the road commission truck drivers needed gas and the power was out so no gas.

Trees down all OVER the place
