New Service Planner app out soon (iOS)

Recommended Posts

I did a search and couldn't find any mention of this app ...

Matt, the creator of Equipd, is working on a new app called Service Planner.

https://serviceplanner.me

It's in Beta at the moment, and I have the privilege of being one of the testers. :)

It's going to have a lot more features than some similar apps available (I've used a few). The web site does a good job of explaining some of the major features.

I think it's going to be a very useful tool for the ministry.

I love this app! Looks like it would be so helpful in the ministry. II see it's made for apple products, will there be an android app too?

Matt has said that he has plans for an Android version but hasn't given any specific details, other than stating it wouldn't be until after version 1 for iOS is out and stable.

I don't know if he has already started on the Android version. He has a lot on his plate at the moment.

I'll post when I hear more.

What is expected of a beta tester? I haven't done it before.

That's a good question, and I should have explained a bit more.

The specifics vary depending on the developer and the stage of development the app is at. Basically, you should be prepared to use an app that could/will crash a lot, and be prepared to take the time to submit feedback to the developer.

The app, at this stage, is very stable. I think Matt was just after more users to meet Apple's requirements - to be accepted to the App Store. It appears Matt has enough testers now.

It looks like he will submit the final release to the App Store in the next few days.
