First, It's nice to be back after a while away. Wondering if there brothers here who have published on Kindle? Any tips? :) Will be publishing my first novel soon on Kindle and it will be free for a while. Promise to alert you when the free promo begins so you enjoy!

I've published nine stories and counting on Amazon under two different pseudonyms. It's pretty self-explanatory. A lot of the Kindle Store is Indie Writers now, so they try to make the whole thing idiot proof.

My advice: Use the KDP forum whenever you have a question. They're pretty kind about answering without judging. Same goes for Google. Choose the category carefully, as it's going to decide what your book gets advertised as.

My main piece of advice is to proofread it so many times you wish you'd never written it. My first book, I only proofread twice, and it was so full of typos that after five revisions, I'm still finding a few. There's a preview option before it publishes, use it thoroughly. It gives you a preview file you can load on your kindle, use that too. There's absolutely nothing wrong with delaying the launch a few days, and it's preferable to having to revise after it's up.
