A lot of people are saying two different weapons being used simultaneously and that they can tell from different firing rates. After watching the video, I understand what they mean. Some people with Iraq backgrounds. If there were two shooters and only one was killed by police, then this is not over yet. Be careful the coming hours and days in NV

I read a report that said it is possible that some of the sightings of other shooters may have folks seeing armed law enforcement going into the buildings.

What a horrible situation. ...

During scenes like these, there's always a lot of confusion, that's true. We had that at the 2016 Munich shooting at the Olympia Shopping Mall. There were reports coming in from the city center and even the Hofbräuhaus had a mass panic because someone dropped a plate that caused false reports.

Let's hope this one is over.

That's our local paper's website. Only one shooter, over 15 riffles - at least one on a tripod (so he was aiming). Apparently he was a big gambler, but they haven't said what made him snap like that.

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

This is so sad,  my thoughts and prayers are with all the friends in Vegas and those caught up in this evil event. It's very distressing to watch and hear.

I'm thinking the shooter must have dwelled on and cultivated the desire to cause destruction for some time and finally acted on his secret desire to kill as many innocent people as possible. Inexplicable thoughts to others people whose hearts desire peace and love and want to save lives. It goes against natural god given moralilty.

Rhonda LeRocque of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, was one of the victims in the shooting, her family said.

Her mother, Priscilla Champagne, told CNN that LeRocque was a "beautiful woman inside and out."

"A truly great mother, daughter, wife, aunt, sister, worker, and a good, kindhearted friend. She had a great faith in Jehovah God, and had a wonderful family life. She loved Hawaii, Disney, and country music." she said.
"She was the best of the best. She was the hostess with the mostess ... the glue who kept our family gatherings together. She will be greatly missed by us all."

Her sister, Korina Champagne, said in a Facebook post on Monday that her heart was broken.
"My Beautiful Sister Rhonda LeRocque lost her life in the Las Vegas mass shooting," Korina Champagne posted. "My heart is broken, I'm numb, I feel paralyzed. This doesn't seem real. All I can do is turn to God's Word for comfort, just as she would want me to. May she rest now until her name is called and she is awakened in paradise."

She added a Bible passage to the end of her Facebook post, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."

Tewksbury Woman Among Victims In Las Vegas Shooting

Rhonda LeRocque was active in the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Natick and leaves a husband and a young daughter.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A mother from Tewksbury was among the 58 people killed by a gunman in Las Vegas Sunday night in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Rhonda LeRocque, 41, was an active member of the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Natick. According to a member of the church, she is survived by her husband and a young daughter. "She was the sweetest person," the church member said. "She set a fine example for many people."

A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that LeRocque was among those killed by Stephen Craig Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nev. Paddock opened fire from a hotel room on an outdoor concert attended by 22,000. Paddock, who is believed to have killed himself before police stormed his hotel room, also injured more than 500 people.

I cannot express how my heart sank at the news of our sister's death.  I had worried that it might be the sort of music concert that brothers and sisters might attend.

I hope that I can survive the end of this system, or die faithful before that, so that I can have the pleasure of meeting her in the paradise we await.

Rhonda LeRocque, a Tewksbury mother who was active in her church, was among at least 59 killed in Sunday night’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, family members told The Boston Globe.

LeRocque attended the outdoor country music festival where the shooting occurred with her husband, Jason, and their young daughter, her sister, Jennifer Zelenski, told the newspaper. LeRocque’s husband and daughter were not injured, she said.

LeRocque’s mother, Priscilla Champagne, told CBS Boston her daughter and Jason were married for more than 20 years, and the family went to Vegas as part of their anniversary.

“She’s a loving mother, she’s a loving wife. … She was just beautiful inside and out,” she said.

LeRocque and Jason were devout Jehovah’s Witnesses, according to the Globe. LeRocque’s grandmother, Carol Marquis, told the newspaper her granddaughter was shot in the head.

“And we lost a dear, close, good person—one of the nicest people you will ever meet in your life,” she said.

LeRocque worked at IDEO, a design firm in Cambridge, the Globe reported.

Sunday’s attack was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. In addition to the deceased, more than 500 people were wounded.

I guess its really too early to tell the motives. On the news I had heard that the police killed him but read different. ISIS appears to claim responsibility but the FBI apparently claims different? The numbers have gone up since I last saw.

58 people are dead and more than 515 are injured after a mass shooting in Las Vegas

...

Officers identified him as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old man from Nevada. They believe he was the only attacker, and that he killed himself before they arrived.

A statement from ISIS claimed that the attack was their doing, and that Paddock converted to Islam "a few months ago." The FBI contradicted this claim, saying that Paddock had "no connection with an international terrorist group."

I don't believe for a minute this dude pulled this off.  Another CIA coverup.

According to the verified reports, the shooter used a fully-automatic rifle, and shot ~100 round bursts into a densely packed crowd. This was a gun specifically designed to kill and maim hundreds of people at a time, and that's exactly what he did.

The Bible is clear that some people in the last days will commit evil acts, and this is just another example of that. The only person seriously pushing the CIA conspiracy narrative is a guy who has a clear political agenda, and as servants of Jehovah we would not want to believe or spread unproven stories that violate our Christian neutrality.

As one who believes in government cover-ups and conspiracies, I agree with you. Whoever this guy actually was, whoever really carried out, and whatever the truth is, who cares? It's all the same wickedness.

There is something to learn from this though. Pay even better heed to the FDS counsel to avoid large crowds.

This was the final straw for me. I'm never going to a concert, sports event or anything similar again in this system.

It's such a sad, sickening attack, we naturally want there to be a "motive", however inexcusable it is.  But it seems (and I may be wrong) that there isn't any distinguishable motive here (ie, he was bullied and it got too much for him, "postal worker" scenario, or the terrorists belligerent excuse).  So to me it leave that the darker forces are letting loose on feeble-minded humans to wreck havoc.  Faint out of fear is surely what humans would be feeling now.

Exactly, who cares, its all falling apart anyway.  Innocents have taken the rap for the assailants before.
