First of all I'm a little concerned there is a clinical psychologist named Linda Blair but she says early Christmas music is bad for you. I woder what she says about Tubular Bells...

I like let it snow and a couple other "winter" based songs, but I I have this crazy thing of re-writing the lyrics when the music is playing in Walmart

I too, love the lilt of many of the Christmas Carols, its the message and the purpose that I don't like. I was listening to the Kingdom melodies the other day esp some of the newer ones, some of them have the ambience or similar lilt to some Christmas carols, and I thought to myself wow we have this music all year round we are a privilleged people.

Our local drug store starts playing Christmas music after Thanksgiving day for the month of December.    They have speakers outside front and back of the store. 

 

i practically live right around the corner and a brother and his wife lives in the apartment above the store.    

 

The only song I care for is, “Grandma got ran over by a reindeer.”

My daughter has just got a new summer job in a large department store in Perth (our capital city) and they have started piping Christmas music already and she already hates it.  She isn't in the truth .. yet ... but hates many worldly things, this being one of them.  Carols have got a way of getting inside your head, as Mandi says they have a certain attractive lilt to them and having grown up in the world, I know many of these songs.  If I find one starting off in my head I change the channel and start humming my favourite kingdom songs.
