Recommended Posts

Hello

Experts

I am using this tab.

In the storage section ,

It is showing around 3-4 GB of temporary data of the c drive.

Whenever I try to delete it (option is given to delete and I press it)

It doesn't cleans them.

It says we are cleaning. Come after some time. But nothing happens.

And it is taking away much place. Any

Suggestions Pls.

Power it off, wait ~30 seconds, power it up, and try again.

Most likely the data is still locked by whatever program put it there, and a power cycle will typically fix that.
I usually power off after the meetings.
But it is still the same.

I don't know much about tablets but I do own a Dell windows 10 laptop which may be similar.

Have you tried using the "Disk Cleanup?" program. If the tablet has it, you should be able to enter disk cleanup in the front page's search and it should pull the program up.

Then it will ask you which items to delete, including temporary files.

Wish I could be of more assistance ^_^

I live in a temporary reality- awaiting the day I wake up to life in the real world!

Dilip have a look at this article and see if the advice applies to your situation.

How to remove temporary program files:

https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000225.htm

In particular, this bit may be of use:

Which temp files are safe to delete?

Because all temporary files are only a location to hold information temporarily, all temporary files are safe to delete. However, keep in mind that if a file or program is using that file, you may not be able to delete the file.

Unable to delete .tmp file

If you get an error when trying to delete a .tmp file, it is currently being used by Windows or another software program that is running. Close all open programs, restart the computer, and try deleting the file again. If you are still having problems, see the document below - https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000714.htm
